"So you're going to head to sleep now?" I asked my protege.
"Yes. I've already accomplished what I needed to, after all." Chornoa said to me.
"You know, my sealing method is better than hers, right?" I asked her while pointing my thumb toward Luminous.
The Vampire scowled at me for a moment. "Don't get ahead of yourself now." She muttered, but I chose to ignore her comment.
Chronoa smiled at me for a moment before shaking her head. "It's fine. Master Alaster. I believe Luminous' protection will do for now." She commented.
I shrugged my shoulders and shook my head. It was her loss. "Well, I guess I'll see you in a decade or so," I said with a soft smile.
To beings like Luminous and I, a decade was like the blink of an eye. I've actually done several experiments on myself using decades as benchmarks. For example, I once cut off my right arm and refused to heal it for a decade just to train myself to become ambidextrous. I also ate nothing but pumpkin pie for a decade to see if it was something I'd ever get sick of, which I never did. There was also that half-decade I tried going vegan, but decided I liked the taste of meat too much, especially monster meat, so I stopped, as it wasn't for me.
Chronoa smiled lightly and sat down in the magisteel coffin I'd created alongside Luminous for just this day. As she made herself more comfortable, she made a note to look me in the eyes with a serious expression on her face.
"m-master. I know it's presumptuous of me, but I have a request..." She said, slightly nervously.
"What's up?" I asked her back.
"I-in the future, there will be a slime..." She started, looking rather awkward mentioning it.
"A slime?" I asked her.
"Y-Yes. He'll establish a place in the Forest of Jura where monsters will congregate." She started explaining.
"Don't worry!" I interrupted with a smile. "I'll destroy it for you!" I commented.
"No!" Chronoa shouted, sitting up from her previous position.
I smiled smugly at her after her outburst, which caused her to realize I was messing with her. "Don't worry. I'll protect the Slime in the Jura Forest for you." I told her with confidence.
Chornoa gave a sigh of relief before looking into my eyes again. "As punishment for scaring me like that, you'll also have to watch over Shizu while you're at it!" She jovially demanded.
"Just Shizu? You don't want me to look after her spirit fox Pizu? What about her best friend Pirino? Weren't they also your students?" I asked with a smile. /1\
Chornoa's face twisted into an awkward smile at that. "Always gotta have the last word in, doncha?" She asked, more to herself than me.
"Of course. Perks of being the strongest." I said, giving her a thumbs up with a bright smile. I'm pretty sure my white teeth even shone for a second.
"Are you done?" Luminous asked, looking a bit annoyed.
I smiled at her and waved my arm, showing my intention to let her continue. Currently, she was halfway into casting the spell which would seal away Chronoa's body. Stopping a spell halfway felt a lot like stopping yourself mid-stream when peeing. It was extremely uncomfortable, as the magicules want to flow, but you are preventing them from flowing, so our little conversation wasn't exactly easy or comfortable for Luminous.
Chronoa and I gave each other one last look before I gave her a reassuring nod. Chronoa then smiled a beautiful smile and laid back in the coffin. I waved my hand, sealing the lid with a bit of magic before Luminous finished casting her spell.
"{Sacred Burial}" She whispered as Holy Light engulfed the casket for a few moments before subsiding, leaving only a dim, glowing, shell of magical energy.
I gazed at Luminous for a moment, noting how she had used a large part of her magicules for this spell and now looked slightly winded. "You alright?" I asked her.
"I'll be fine. Just make sure to keep your promise to her." Luminous said with a slightly too haughty tone for her stature in our relationship.
I raised my eyebrow at this and decided to troll a bit. "Or what?" I said, clearly provoking her in a joking manner.
Luminous smugly smiled back and fought my challenge. "I might have to steal Velzard from you."
My brain froze for a moment. "On one hand, I want to say, I'd like to see you try, but on the other hand, I want to say, don't threaten me with a good time," I said, silently thinking about Velzard and Luminous kissing.
<
'A man can dream of yuri thoughts...' I told her back in a philosophical tone.
<
"N-nevermind Luminous... I'll just take your word for it..." I muttered, half-passed out.
Luminous smiled sadistically at my state and looked down upon me. "Fufufu! It seems I've found my way of beating you, Alaster."
I rolled my eyes and let her have her 'victory' in this battle, for the war was not yet over.
...
Velzard and I were currently sitting on our lounging chain in our home in Amrita. Velzard was sprawled out, sitting in my lap as we both leaned back, our lower bodies covered with a blanket she'd coquetted about a decade earlier for times exactly like these. She was reading a book on the non-avian bird monsters of the Jura Forest while stealing some of the coffee I was drinking every now and again. It was just another peaceful afternoon, one of the thousands of them I'd enjoyed with my wife and the thousands more I was planning on enjoying as we lived out the rest of eternity together.
Unfortunately, however, this afternoon was NOT going to be as peaceful as I first believed. In that moment, I felt a massive surge of magicules in the Jura Forest erupt before disappearing all of a sudden.
"Oh? Looks like Veldora finally died." Velzard said, not even looking up from her book.
I smiled wryly. "Guess he did, though I thought it wouldn't be for another century at least." I thought aloud before closing my eyes and concentrating with [Clairvoyance] to see what was actually happening in more detail.
In the place where Veldora was supposed to have resided, all I saw was a small silvery-blue slime, cutely bouncing away from that spot. When I saw that, I immediately felt nostalgic for some reason. I stared at the little thing as it bounced around gleefully for a while before being drawn back to reality with Velzard looking up at me with slight worry on her face.
"Hey, Al. Is everything alright?" She asked.
"Y-yeah. I have a feeling everything is gonna be fine from now on." I commented half-smiling before giving my beloved wife a kiss on the nose. "Yeah... it'll be all good."
'It took you long enough, bastard.' I thought with a smile while feeling the bouncing slime's familiar aura.

/1\: Pirino never died here, because Leon was still a Hero and not a Demon Lord. Shizue Izawa was still summoned, but this time it was into the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion under Elmisia's orders and upon Leon's request.
While she was still bound to an Ifrit, who was a spirit he'd gotten from Ramiris during his time as an Adventurer at the guild like all the others, Ifrit never killed Pirino, since Shizu wasn't made into Leon's guard in this timeline, and thus, Pirino and Piz never met Leon. Shizu was trained by Chornoa and Velgaia along with Pirino and Pizu (the spirit fox Shizu named)

The MC is NOT a cuck, but he was imagining more of a threesome with Velzard and Luminous because he may be almost 2,000 years old, but he's still a perv when it comes to his wife.
