Toby stared at the white substance that fell on the back of his hand before looking heavenward again. As soon as he did, he noticed the faint light coming from a certain direction near the portal in the night sky. His brows furrowed, blinking almost innocently before he felt a sudden thump against his chest.
"Mama," he whispered on instinct. It was a child's instinct about his mother, having this unsettling feeling in his heart. "Papa…"
"What is this snow…?" the knight carrying Toby outside the gates of the imperial palace also looked up. "A sheep's wool?"
