Niall's heart was screaming.
Along with his remarks full of hatred and raging anger, his heart was screaming for help. It was begging me to hold him, to choose him for once, and to stay. Even if I had to crush him or hate him, it didn't matter, as long as he wasn't left abandoned.
But... I couldn't.
My husband, Hugo, needed me.
I knew the werewolves wouldn't fall overnight if Azazel showed who he really was. But Hugo would still need me. Azazel had been walking on the surface of this world for a long time, laid a meticulous plan to deceive everyone, and was completely successful.
He simply wanted me out of the werewolves' reach to go on with his plan. He could've done it with my three-year separation from Hugo. But if my hypothesis was correct, Azazel hadn't had enough powers back then. He was still in the process of collecting more... witches and powers.
Niall was correct.
