Chereads / The forgotten demigod / Chapter 29 - The auction of the century 11.3

Chapter 29 - The auction of the century 11.3

"Excited? Even I am! The hunters said that... she is from an extinct race. I guess it's not extinct anymore! What do you think?" Cheers even louder. "Okay, okay. But I must say, she is not the only virgin we have today. There is another one. A boy." The cheers continued for five long minutes.

I did more some abs on the mean time. "Can you please stop?!" The snake girl finally said something about my training. I didn't stop. "No? I'm an elf, I don't even sweat." (296,297,298...) on the middle of the abs 299, the snake girl kicked my rib. It hurt, a lot. But so what? Pain is a mortal thing right?

I ignored the pain, laughed and smiled. "Is that all?" She turned red in anger. "You're lucky I can't use magic!" She stomped her foot and sat down again. I got up after finishing the two more abs.

"Why are you so nervous? This isn't your first time in an auction house, is it?" I sat in front of her. She sneered. "Why am I nervous? Think! Auctions this big attract loaded buyers, and the more money they have, more corrupted their soul is. The chance of me being sold to a sadistic, torturer, rapist or killer is as big as your stupid ego!" She started crying.

I smiled from ear to ear. "So what if you get sold to any of these guys? Crying won't solve anything. Have you tried to remove your shackles? I bet that just once." She was enraged with my words. Kicks, punches, bites and even poison from her teeth.

I dodged what I could, but I was hit sometimes. "Wild! I like it!" I said that while dodging a kick that would hit my nuts. I jumped over Ahato, so that a punch from her would hit him. He blocked it with a flick of his hand. (Dammit.) "Don't get me involved in your child play." (He didn't even opened his eyes! Not fair!)

We jumped up and down for some time. The panther boy went up to the stage, and was sold for 30 platinum coins. A record breaker right off the bat. The snake girl was getting tired, her punches and kicks got weaker. "We can stop at any time~" A bad move. Her anger fueled up her spirit.

Ahato got up too. 33 platinum coins, another record breaker. I found out that he is a raven spirit, whatever that means. I stopped moving and stared at her. Her fist hit my cheek with full force. But she is a snake, not a lizard. Her punch just moved my face to the side, nothing more.

She prepared another punch but I grabbed her wrist. "Okay, you can stop now." She struggled, but with no avail. (Using mana to strength myself is quite useful.) "You make me mad!" She struggled more and tried to kick me. (She is not normal... It's like a cornered beast.)

I closed my eyes and focused my attention on her mana. Two threads came out from my hand and entered her arm from the wrists. (Turbulent...) Her mana flow was a mess. (Why?) I continued to spread threads. I got to her shoulder, chest, head... I could feel every inch of her body.

(The hell is this thing?) On her chest, a strange little ball of red light was lingering around her heart. I touched it with one of my threads. (...!) The moment it got closer, the light attacked me. (What kind of spell is this?) I enveloped the light with my threads. It tried to escape, but to where? I pulled it from her body.

When I opened my eyes again, the snake girl was unconscious on the ground. The light was desperately trying to break free from my threads. I must say, the spell was weak, but its effect was obvious. After some time, it gave up on breaking free.

It then moved to near my heart. (Silly thing, it won't work on me.) I let it be. The auctioneer had called my number. (Finally, let's see who will buy me~) I got walked to the stage and waited behind the curtain. The stage was made of some blackwood, and the curtains were red with gold ends.

The double colored eye maid waved from the other side of the stage, away from the audience eyes. She gestured for me to enter the stage. I nodded and started walking. "A virgin elf, pure blood with black hair, and purple eyes!"

How can I say it? (Wow. That's, a lot of people.) I got into the middle of the stage, and countless pairs of eyes were sizing me. Some mana senses too. (It looks like a coliseum.) The seats were arranged in a semicircular fashion, giving the feeling of a real theater. There was at least 5000 seats, I'm sure of it.

"The bidding start at 1 platinum coin. Begin!"
