Now alone, I look around again. The house has broken windows, some planks on the floor were missing, and there weren't any tables, chairs, or anything at all. (She probably invaded this abandoned house.) Metal clanged in the other room.
I couldn't move, even when using all my might, but I guess this body is somewhat new. (She used ropes and magic to seal my movements... I can just wait for her to release me for now.) I close my eyes and stay there, immovable.
...
"...Did you feel it?" 'Strong soul and weak body.' "The body is above average, but the soul is exceptional. A good specimen." 'Indeed... However, I feel something unique about the soul besides its obvious innate power.' "Hm... I feel it too. I've never felt it before. You?" 'Same. Hehe, I'm shivering in expectation.' "Me too, me too."
...
"Hey! Wake up!" I wake up, and I shiver for some reason. My muscles were hurting, and my joints were screaming in pain. "I'm... awake." I open my eyes and there she is, with her pen and notebook. "You're still hungry?" Before I could answer, my stomach growled. "You are. Then, you can have this."
On her right hand is a wooden bowl with something hot inside. "Rabbit porridge. Although I already ate the meat, so it's just hot water with rabbit skin... Anyway, better than nothing." She lays the bowl on the ground and moves it to me with her feet.
(She is truly prudent. Well, I'm an unknown person that she found in the woods unconscious. A clever girl.) "Thank... You." The stew smell is good. I lean forward and eat the soup by sucking it directly. The 'hot water' went down in my stomach, and I felt a warmth in my chest and belly. (Good stuff.) From time to time, I look up to face her, and every time we had eye contact, she notes something.
I finish the bowl fast and burp in satisfaction. She smiles and takes more notes. I get back in position and stare at her. She finishes writing in her notebook. "Now that you have your belly full, I'll ask the questions again. Will you answer them this time?"
She sits on the floor in front of me, at a safe distance. "So...?" (It won't hurt to answer.) I nod. "Great. First question, what is your name?" "Kall...Sol." She wrote something. "Where are you from?" I shake my head. "Don't know? Me neither. Next question."
She repeated the same questions from before, and she got more or less the same answers as before. (I said I would answer, not that I know anything anyway.) Besides my name, I don't know anything about mundane stuff. She took notes anyway thought.
She sighs and puts her pen in the coat pocket. She gets up and leaves, without saying anything. (Well, I would be frustrated too.) After ten minutes without her return, I close my eyes and sleep.
*SPLASH* (Again with the cold water?) "I'm... awake." I open my eyes, but I didn't see the beautiful girl with white hair in front of me. I see a chubby man with thick arms. "What a good find Phoebe. The boss will be pleased. Your cut is the same as usual."
He had white skin, black eyes, and was bald. A long black beard with a V on the chin. Black pants, brown sandals, and a white shirt. (A thug?) I didn't see Phoebe, but I hear her voice. "Ask him to raise my cut a little bit on this one. He'll sell for a big price." The man laughs. "I won't lie, but this guy might be the star of the month in the House."
(House? And star? What is this guy talking about...) He steps forward and stops an inch from me. "...Your eyes, is it magic?" He stares me directly in the eyes for some time. After he got bored, he laugh again and scratch his long beard with his hand.
"Forget it, I'll move you to the House. Don't do anything harsh, and I won't hurt you... That being said, please, make me step out of the line~" With just one hand, he got me on his shoulder. He smiles and raises his free hand. "Now, good sleep gold mine." I just saw his big fist before passing out.
