*Evening
Master Ming was dodging Kei's sword strikes and all of the strikes were thrusts, swift, deadly, thrusts.
Master Ming nonchalantly dodging with a cocky look
"BAHAHAHAHA, You are going to need a thousand years to try and get a hit on me! Come on try and put your back in it! Hahahaha!"
Kei was getting frustrated, he has been trying to hit him for a long while now, but no dice...
"Damn it!"
'This guy is just toying with me! He told me to use only thrusts since I previously used only slashes...'
Master Ming dodged once again and appeared behind Kei
"I SEE YOU!" Kei predicted his Masters movements and went quickly to thrust into him
Just as his blade was about to touch Master Ming ~ poof ~ Master Ming disappeared into thin air
Kei was confused, for once he couldn't feel Master Ming even using divine consciousness
Kei looked left and right, but Ming was nowhere to be found
Then Kei understood
"ahhh.... I'm fucked."
Master Ming came down from the sky and plunged Kei's head into the ground, making cracks on the ground in the process
Kei was knocked unconscious
"Phahahahaha! He really thought he could reach me, dream on. Well then, should I answer my Dear disciple's request?"
Master Ming grabbed Kei by the leg and carried him on his back as if he were a bag
Ming went deep inside the sect beyond his throne room and into a weird square room,
In the middle there was a large obelisk
Ming placed down Kei at the start of the room and gave him a medicine to wake him up
~ slap slap slap slap slap slap ~
"I'm up! I'm up! Please! No more!"
Kei had finally woken up
"Where... Are we?" Kei was unfamiliar with this place and was rightfully a little scared waking up in this unfamiliar environment
"Child do you remember your little request earlier today?" Said Ming as stocked his beard
Kei's eyes sparkled
"There is no way! Haha! Really!? So I was right! You do have a way to learn the laws of space!"
Master Ming took a serious look and started talking
"You know that Laws of space exist and obviously along with space comes Time, so The law of time also exists, but did you know that there exist laws for all elements? Earth, water, fire and air, of course other elements as well but those are the most basic, learning even a tiny fraction of those laws will make one way more proficient in said element than someone who has never studied said law. Many Cultivators find it hard to learn a fraction of even those basic Laws, let alone the law of Space! Hahahaha! It takes time and dedication to learn a Law, and you chose to learn one of the hardest. Child, are you sure you can go through with this?"
Kei gulps down his own spit
'It's true, even if I am a little talented in cultivation that doesn't mean I am also talented in learning the Laws, But...'
" I have to do it.! Even if I fail miserably I will press forward once more, again and again, and at the end if I am unable to make any progress, I will give it up, even if it hurts me so, to not learn this Law, the Law that I hold dear to my heart" Kei lowered his eyes
And a smile grew on Mings face
"Haha! You won't know until you try right? It's good to have a strong resolve, but it's also good to know when to give up, I've seen some cultivators waste their whole lives trying to comprehend the Law of space, and in the end their long lifespan comes to an end without figuring it out"
Master Ming continued
"Before you stands the obelisk that holds the Law of Space up to Level two, you will study it every night from now on"
Kei got excited "Master! Do you know any of the Laws of space!?"
Master. Ming pridefully spoke
"Of course! Who do you think I am!? I am the Mount Hua's sect leader! I have completely learnt up to Level two! Hell if I could I would be able to learn at least The level 3 Law of Space!"
Kei found a new sense of awe from Master Ming
"Then!-"
Master Ming cut off Kei and continued
"But I can't teach you, you will have to learn this on your own, how about you start now? Why don't you approach the obelisk and study the Law of space engraved on it?"
Ming held a devious smile as he uttered those words
Kei's eyes burned with passion and determination and so he took a step forward, and then another, and another, and another but then he realised something
"W-what?"
As Kei moved forward the obelisk rather than coming closer it felt like it got further and further away at each step,
Kei then understood what was happening
And Master Ming sitting at the doorway explained
"Haha! You have to learn the First Law of space if you want to make it close to the Law of Space obelisk! Good luck see you at sun rise!"

Ming closed the door behind him
Thankfully the room was lit by luminous crystals on the walls
Kei would have to learn the first Law of Space in this room and then approach the obelisk to try and gain an understanding of the second Law of space
Kei thought to himself
'So learning the first Law is a gimmick and a prerequisite of learning the second Law, well, learning comes from understanding, I will have to understand and feel how the obelisk gets further away from me even when I step towards it...'
Kei looked down
"hahhh, I'm fucked."
