Perhaps one country that had been hit lightly in this calamity compared to others was Japan.
However, that is only one way to put it.
All the cities that are congested had portals of unprecedented scale, with the beasts that emerged from those portals equally strong and ugly.
What they lacked in their size was made up by the portals.
And most of these beasts are birds.
Sure, there were exemptions, but not in a good way.
The newscasters assumed the portal would open on Neko island for cats, however, that wasn't the reality.
The island itself was multiplied five times, with an equal amount of nautical distance, one filled with cats of normal size, and other four empty rocks like the island once used to be.
There was no vegetation of any kind.
What did differ was that a sparrow that could grow to the size of eating a human, has grown to the size of eating an elephant.
