"Then, I'll be off. Good work today. I'll submit these for approval." Darryl heads out the door as Sol waves goodbye while seeing him off.
I glanced at the time on my wristband, frowning at how late it has gotten. Sol happened to catch my gaze just as he was closing the door while I immediately unfolded my arms and cleared my throat.
"Sorry you had to wait for me, you could have eaten first." Sol walks over towards me as I shook my head and gave him a reassuring smile.
"It's fine. I'll just reheat it for now. Why don't you wash up while waiting?"
"I can help set up the table?" Sol blinks innocently at me as I found no reason to object and nod.

"You're a great cook!" Sol gasps as he sneaks a bite of the thinly sliced meat dish before sitting himself down on the dining chair.
"I had to do my best since I lived alone for quite some time." I smiled to myself, thinking of how it was the Nth number of time he praised me in this way.
