I awaken to the sound of objects clattering. I sit up in bed with a pounding headache. I frown in dismay and squeezed my eyes shut to try and bear with the splitting headache as I headed towards the door.
As I opened the door, I noticed a shadowy figure in the dark. I couldn't help but also notice a pungent smell of blood in the air. I knitted my brows, about to flip the switch when the headache began again. It felt like my head was being split apart, making me fall to my knees as I held onto my head to make it stop.
Almost like it was a play on my mind, the headache was gone. I waited for a few seconds but it did not trigger again. I sigh and moved to turn on the lights, but my eyes had already adjusted to the dark.
Huh? Could I always see this well in the dark?
I shrug off the thought as I felt around for anything I could use as a weapon while warily approaching the figure. Before I could reach the figure, the person lunged at me.
