I sit up in bed, stroking Sol's head affectionately before making sure he was asleep. He moans in his sleep and snuggle towards my hand as I hold back the urge to scream.
I kiss the top of his head lightly as I climbed out of bed and headed for the front door. I had already sensed him when I arrived here.
Who knew he was the type to keep promises.
"You're early." I said as I tossed a blanket at Darryl before sitting at a distance from him on the other end of the roof.
"I didn't expect you to come back. You left in a hurry after all."
"H-how did you know? How long have you been here? And... wasn't that hours ago?" I rubbed my shoulders from the shivers of having realised he had watched me the entirety of the time I was here.
"My familiar was in the vicinity when you ran off. Who knew it would get such juicy information about you." Darryl shrugs nonchalantly while I frowned.
