"Oh, it's nearly time." Darryl says as he checks his holoband for the time.
I glanced in his direction, holding onto the railings as I shuffled over towards him. It looked lame, of course, but I only had time to learn how to keep my balance during the brief half an hour lesson.
"Is your purchase ready? Did you engrave it or something?" I asked, meeting his gaze as Darryl breaks into a smile.
"How'd you know?" He chuckles, folding his arms as I grinned and clicked my tongue while wagging my index finger.
"It was obvious from how long you were chatting with the cashier. And since you wanted me not to know what exactly it is you had engraved..." I grinned mischievously, "It's for someone special, isn't it? Your girlfriend?" I teased, noticing him turn away as he clears his throat.
