The walk back was silent and I hadn't felt as uncomfortable as this in a long time. Meanwhile, Kalvin had decided to ignore the somber atmosphere hanging in the air and decides to liven things up as he initiates small talk with me. As he drones on in the background, I get distracted by my own thoughts while my eyes were drawn so naturally to Darryl's wide back.
"Sol— Sol?!" My shoulder suddenly shook as I flinched and realised I had been spacing out all this while.
"H-huh? What is it?" My gaze shifted towards Kalvin who had his eyebrows knitted with a concerned look in his eyes as I shook my head to clear out the distractions plaguing my mind.
"You seem distracted. Is it because of the fight with Aries? It's not difficult to put two and two together, you know?"
"Wh-what?" I stammered, rubbing my arm awkwardly as Kalvin lowered his head defeatedly before sighing.
