[Day 4]
"Sun, wake up. I'm hungry again..." Marianne's demanding voice echoed throughout Sun's dreams. He was having a dream of the day that he died, reliving it over and over until her voice finally woke him up.
"AAAH!" He shouted when he woke up and he stared at Marianne, who jumped back.
"S-Sorry... What d-did you say? Were you calling me?" Sun grasped his head and took deep breathes as he spoke.
"...I'm hungry. Can you go hunt?" Marianne waited a while before speaking.
When Sun heard her request he looked over at the pile of meat, or what was left of it. His pupils shrank when he saw that all that was left was saliva covered scraps of meat.
His expression darkened and he tried his best to keep his composure. Even though Marianne was his mistress, he wasn't okay with her eating all of the food he worked hard for.
He even put his life at risk!
Sun stood up on his two tiny feet and glared at Marianne and spoke.
"Mistress! You can't eat all of our food like this! If you do that, then you'll have to hunt for your own food or else I won't be able to eat anything! I'm hungry too!" Sun had lost control of his emotions a bit.
He covered his mouth as soon as he finished speaking and sat back down, waiting for Marianne's response.
Her face was flushed red with shock and embarrassment for a while. She shook her head before sending a piercing gaze towards Sun.
"...It's not my fault. Every time I wake up I feel hungry. Since you feel that way, why don't you teach me how to hunt creatures." Marianne's face looked as if she had never been embarrassed just now.
Her expression was serious and made Sun feel uncomfortable.
"A-Alright then..." Sun scratched the back of his head before wiping his forehead and letting out a sigh of relief. He thought Marianne was going to yell at him or do something drastic, but apparently not.
'We're in a new world where we can actively get stronger... I have nothing to be scared of...' Sun soon came to the realization that there was nothing holding him back in this new world.
He could walk out of the cave and never come back if he wanted to! He was stronger than Marianne probably!
Despite that, he chose not to.
He starting teaching her how to use her skills and when to use them. He also helped her learn to control her new body better.
Since they reincarnated, all she did was lazily eat and sleep, just like in her previous life. She had never been overweight a day in her life though...
A few hours later, Sun sat down with labored breathing and looked at the exhausted Marianne. She was laying against the side of the cave and took in deep breaths at every chance.
They had just sparred, something neither of them thought they'd ever do. Neither of them thought they'd have to fight like this to begin with, much less fight each other.
"On-Once you learn to control your body well enough, you'll be able to do all types of things a human body can't do. I h-haven't gotten to that stage yet, but hopefully I'll be there soon." Sun was still a newbie to living the life of an animal.
Because of that, he chose to sneak up on his enemies instead of showing himself.
Both of them had worked up quite the appetite, so Sun offered to go out and look for food. Since he was so exhausted yesterday, he forgot to hunt those rabbits and boars he saw...
'Where are all the creatures today?' Sun roamed the forest in confusion, trying to figure out the reason for the disappearance of most of the creatures in the forest. It took him a long while to find a creature, a boar, and by then the sun had already gone down.
The boar's faint green-tinted body slowly trotted through the forest leisurely. Sun deemed it the perfect target and hid behind a nearby tree and watched it. Once it stopped walking to eat a bit of grass, Sun activated the [ [Shadow Dive] ] skill.
The moment he reached the boar's shadow, he emerged and cast [ [Shadow Bite] ]. His fangs viciously latched onto the neck of the boar and his wings restrained its movement just like before.
'This boar should die quicker than the last one...' Sun thought as his fangs sank into the boar's neck. Within a few minutes, the boar finally stopped moving and a few system messages appeared.
[You killed 1 Green Forest Boar! +109 XP!]
[You gained 1 level. All stats have increased by 2 and 3 stat points have been awarded.]
[You gained the following skills: -/-]
Sun left the boar's body hanging on a tree upside down with its head cut off in order to drain its blood. He cut multiple slits in its belly and legs to drain the blood from those spots as well.
After that, he ventured deeper into the forest to look for more creatures since Marianne was an absolute glutton. He wanted to secure another boar just in case he woke up to one of them having been already devoured.
'I didn't even get a second piece of that boar meat last time...' Sun inwardly sighed as he roamed the forest.
Unfortunately, he didn't find anymore creatures in the forest.
It was truly odd.
As Sun was about to head back towards the boar he killed, he felt sharp killing intent coming from behind him and immediately activated [ [Shadow Dive] ]. His pupils shrank in surprise and the moment he emerged from the shadow of a tree, he looked around.
He quickly spotted the glowing silhouette of a wolf looking around. His heart sank when he recognized it as the same wolf that chased him yesterday.
'This guy... How did he find me? Why is he so hostile anyways? Did I enter his territory by mistake?' Sun didn't think he entered the wolf's domain, but he would get the truth anyways.
He thought he'd successfully hidden from the wolf, but he was wrong!
