It's past midnight but Night was still wide awake. Seeing Eury's state earlier , her scared eyes want him to invite her to his own house so he can have his eyes at here every passing hour. But he lose the courage to speak what his heart wants. He's scared , Eury might think he was taking her state an advantage. No he can't. He just want to make her safe all the time.
And now that she's alone , his heart are thumping like a wild animal wanting to get freed from it's cage. Its freaking his out knowing something could happen to here anytime and he's not there to save her. But again , his logical thinking remind him he is only a best friend to her nothing else. He should know his own limits or else he might fall to something he couldn't get up.
He groaned and covered her face with the pillow , forcing his own self to drift to sleep but still he can't get.
Frustrated he mess his hair and stormed out of his room and headed to his the house's mini bar , grabbing a bottle of wiskey and drink half of it in one go. He neglect its strong draw in his throat. He need something for him to sleep and for a second forget about Eury. He leaned in , in the counter , staring the dim night outside. The bottle still in his grip.
His best friend have been consuming every part of his brain... and heart as well. He didn't know when it started but he just woke up one morning , longing for her beside him. Craving for sweet smiles and silly joke that make his heart beat faster. He always misses her even though they we're just separated few minutes ago. His heart doesn't want here to go away far from her even for a second. It is only her that make him that way.
He chuckled realizing how crazy he is for thinking Eury to stay at his side all the time despite the fact that they're just friends. They don't suppose to be that intimate. Said by his mind.
But why did she kiss me? His heart defend.
It's always that way whenever he's having a hard time about her. His mind and heart are fighting for dominance. It just make him more bother on what to do. What is the right thing to do?
"Gosh! This is crazy!." He exclaimed and drink another gulp.
The alcohol wasn't too effected on forgetting about here. It just make him more bother. She can see in every corner of his house.
He continue drinking while her laughter , her smile , her voice , her beautiful mesmerizing face , her eyes , her lip—
"Fvck!." He hissed and throw the bottle away. The shattering of broken glass , echoed in the quite house. He's living in a mansion yet he was alone.
He want Eury to stay with her—
"Fvck!." He cursed again hitting his own head. "Fvck! Fvck! You should not think that way! Not ever." He warned himself but as soon as he open his eyes.
Eury welcomed his sight. She was staring at him , calling his name for a help. She's scared..so scared. She need her.
He know he was just over thinking like she is. He's having delusions but what if she really is on danger right now. He can't afford to lose her. No!
With the alcohol taking over his system , he carefree drive out of the house heading to Eury. His inhibitions are gone now. He could care less what she would think knocking her door at this late hour. He can't sleep and won't , unless he see her safe.
Arriving her residence , he hurried off from his car and went knocking the door. It's already late at night. She might be asleep right now. When he tried opening the door , it was locked inside.
"Shit!." He forget his own keys. Yeah. He had one , Eury entrusted the duplicate to him.
He tried the window. It is also locked. He tried knocking the door again with force but still got nothing in response. She's maybe on her deep sleep now.
He scratch his head for such a pathetic act. He was about to head down to his car when he hear a sob. She knows well it was from her.
"Eury!! Eury!!." He called and the sobbing become loud.
"Fvck!." He panicked. He can't find any way to open the door without the key. He think hard and when finally got an idea , he head back to his car and open the compartment to take his license gun out.
He walked back to the door and shoot the lock. In no second , the door sprung open. Through the dark his eyes search for her treasure. His heart seem to be stabbed by a knife when he found her in the corner of the sofa. Her hands is shaking , he immediately went to her and grab the knife she was holding and held her face between his palm.
She's crying again and he hate it. No one would dare to make her her girl cry. No one.
Eury lifted her head as soon as the familiar warmth of hand enclosed her face. Through her blurry vision , Night's sympathetic eyes meet hers.
"Night?!." She burst our crying and hug him tightly. "I'm scared. I'm scared."
He sigh in pity.
"Its fine now. I'm here. I won't leave you again." Never.
Curse that friendship ethics. He will do what his heart told him. After all , he's not wise enough to use he's brain. Better used the heart.
He hugged her tightly , squeezing her in the process. He caress her hair down to her back and close his eyes tightly , inhaling the her addictive scent.
"Don't leave.. Please." He nod in her beg.
"I won't. I'm sorry." He kisses her shoulder blade and went on cupping her cheeks once more to wipe off her tears with his bare hand.
"Don't cry now." He said in tranquilized tone. "I won't leave you now. From this , you'll always be at my side. You'll live with me. In my house." It was more of like of a command rather than a plea.
Eury was shock at first but went on nodding and hug him again.
"Starting from now. You won't leave at my side. Let me protect you more than a best friend could do." He goes close to her ear and whisper.
Eury ignored the unfamiliar authority in his voice and hug him tight as a response of agreement.
"Let me be your lover , Eury."
