Lorelei squinted as she reached out her arms to hold onto Jace for a piggyback ride. Jace then positioned her arms around him, making sure that both of them were comfortable since the least he would want to hear right now are her complaints.
"Heave-ho," he said before struggling to stand on his feet with Lorelei on his back. "Goodness. You weigh tons."
She was not exactly that heavy and Jace was definitely not feeble to fail to carry her but he just felt like saying it for unknown reasons.
"No! Lorelei only weighs 47 kilograms!" Lorelei shot back defensively. "Lorelei is still lighter than a sack of rice!"
