As soon as Jace stepped out of the library, he stood frozen. He hasn't the faintest idea where Lorelei could be. Knowing her, she probably went as far as she could, away from Jace, just like the last time she had walked out on him.
He let out an exasperated sigh.
Think. Think, he mused as he was racking his brain. Even though he had known the girl for months, he still hadn't figured out how her brain worked. She had always been an open book, but Jace has a hard time figuring out what she is thinking and feeling when it comes to situations like this.
Haaaa. Women, he thought once again. In his case, women were always the hardest to deal with, but he shouldn't complain right now since he knows he overstepped a line. What he did was too much, and he was aware of it.
If she'd done and thought the very same thing as the time at the salon, she probably already left the building and gone somewhere. The only question left is, where?
