"What a glorious day!" Celeste exclaimed with joy.
"Yeah I know right! The weather of Sinking Town is always like this" Rosa
said.
"Always?" Celeste asked.
"Yes always, ….. that's what Daniel told me…it's a lovely town don't you
think?" Rosa told them.
"Yes, but there aren't many people… is there a reason?" Celeste asked
"No…the population is low in this town and people are a little weird too…look they hide when they see new people here" Rosa explained
Young Celeste Grace along with her friends Aretha, Nora and Meira came to
best friend Rosa‟s wedding. However, she went to Sinking
Town for wedding but she didn't know that her fiancé, Avin was coming too.
There was also somebody else was waiting for them in Sinking Town. It was
not only a person but also their death, soon they realize that coming to Sinking
Town was the biggest mistake of their lives, which led them to their death.
"Why did you wanted to have your wedding here Rosa?" Meira asked.
"I didn't, Daniel wanted to… as it's his birth town" Rosa answered.
"So Rosa does whatever her beloved Daniel tells her to do?" Aretha giggled.
"Nope, he does whatever I tell him to do" Rosa replied, "so tell me Celeste
when are you getting married?"
"Me? I don't know… whenever Avin is ready" she answered
"You should tell him what to do, like I tell Daniel what to do" Rosa suggested
"What?! that would be so dominating of me! I can't do that, after all he said he
wants to find a good job and then buy a house for us" Celeste denied.
"Dominating? That's how you show how important you are…rather than being
agreeing on everything he says" Rosa thought.
"His ways show how important I'm to him, I don't need to tell him that I'm
important, or take care of myself. Love means to understand each other."
Celeste advised
"Oh, Celeste, Celeste, Celeste… you won't get it" Rosa chuckled.
Celeste couldn't understand her, she sat down in the back of the car, next to her
friends.
"What is it Celeste?" Nora asked.
"I don't know… I think there's no love between Rosa and Daniel's relationship,
I think she's only interested in controlling him and he is only interested in her
money" Celeste sighed
"Don't think like that, it's their life… they do whatever they want, we can't
meddle in it" Meira advised
"You're right" Celeste thought.
Celeste loved her fiancé Avin but Rosa kept saying to break her engagement
with him and that Celeste could find a richer man than him but she refused as
she dearly loved him. She couldn't understand why Rosa wanted them to break
up, yet she was her best friend.
"Miss Rosa, we've arrived at your new mansion' her driver said.
"Finally!" she exclaimed.
"You bought a new mansion?" Aretha asked
"Yeah! My and Daniel‟s, come on I'll show you around" she replied.
The girls got out of the car and Rosa showed them around.
Rosa Markov was the one and only daughter of some wealthy her parents, she
was the apple was their eye, they gave everything she wanted thus, making her
stuck up and spoiled. She was taught to treat everyone like things except for
Celeste.
While seeing her mansion, Celeste joked:
"Sometimes we think you're so rich that one day you'll forget your friends"
"Huh? I can never forget my friends!, especially friends like you" Rosa said
"Amazing friends like us?" Meira chuckled
"No! terrible friends like you" Rosa laughed
"Huh?! That's so mean" all said at once
Rosa gave them permission to stay in her mansion till her wedding. Later that
day at night, Celeste was talking to fiancé, he said he would give her a surprise,
she asked what it was but Avin refused saying that it would ruin the surprise.
Suddenly, Rosa's butler came and told her that Rosa wished to see her. She
went to see her, she was shivering. Celeste asked what happened, she said that
she felt cold. That was peculiar as it was September. Celeste thought that she
must have caught a cold and asked her butler to bring two hot chocolates but
Rosa insisted of burning the fire place. So she did and then they started talking
about the past.
"Do you remember the first time we met in the boarding school it was this…
freezing cold?" Rosa shivered
"I don't feel that cold but I do remember…. You were being bullied by some
girls" Celeste said
"And then you came and said 'stop! Bulling is a cowardly act' right?" Rosa
remembered
"Those days were very special, after that we became best friends forever" both
giggled
Suddenly, the balcony's window opened on its on. Rosa got up to close it.
When she was closing it, she saw a lady wearing black a wedding dress, it
seemed like burned, it was covered in ashes and dust. She couldn't see her face,
she was even holding a bouquet of dead flowers.
"Hi! What're you doing Miss Bride?" Rosa yelled
"Rosa who're you talking to?" Celeste asked
"This Bride standing outside but my mansion...she's staring at me, it's creeping
me out" she complained
Celeste looked outside but saw nothing.
"Where Rosa? There‟s nobody" she replied
"What?! But she's there! look!"
"There's nobody… I think you're tired, come get some rest' Celeste suggested
Rosa couldn't understand why Celeste couldn't see that. She thought she must
be tired and would be imaging things, so went to sleep. Later that night , she
dreamt that she was in a graveyard and the same bride from before was staring
at her. The Black Bride grasped her hand and started pulling her in a grave. She
tried to escape but that bride forcefully threw her in a grave and then a pile of
dirt started falling on her body, thus burying her. She felt terrified and
panicked, she looked around in the grave and found a torch. She turned it on,
suddenly heard a whispering sound in her ear "look here" . She turned to her
side and put the torch's light on it. But what she saw next only frightened her
more. It was the same bride from before, she had horrifying black eyes with no
white sclera and raven black hair and red lips like blood. Lying in her grave, the
bride opened her mouth and screamed at her, spiders came out of her mouth
that crawled to Rosa's face. Rosa started screaming and woke up screaming and
panting. Her friends and butler came running, she told them that everything was
fine and it was only a nightmare. After consoling her, all her friends were going
to their rooms but Rosa grabbed Celeste's hand, she told her that she was
scared and asked her to sleep with her. She agreed and both went to sleep.
Next morning, Avin texted her to be at a desired place in Sinking Town. She
asked why but he said that she'll get a surprise there. When she reached there,
she saw Avin standing, she excitedly hugged him and asked:
"Avin! What're you doing here?"
"Well…I got a job!" he exclaimed joyfully, "and that's not all I even bought a
house for you!'
"Awww… I love you Avin!...I'm so happy!" she cried with happiness and
hugged him even more tightly.
"Come let's go to Rosa's mansion" she invited him and both went there.
All of her friends greeted him except for Rosa.
"Hi Avin! What brought you here? we thought you were looking for a job"
Aretha asked
"Well I already did so…I thought of seeing my beloved Celeste now" he
answered
"Ohhh!...that's so sweet…' Aretha praised
"So, when are you getting married?' Meira asked
"Whenever my Celeste wants" Avin replied and looked at Celeste with a lovely
look.
"Are you gonna stay till the wedding?"Nora asked
"Of course! he is gonna stay here"Celeste interrupted
"IS HE?" Rosa asked from the stairs.
"Umm… yes he is!...right Rosa?" Celeste counter questioned
Rosa didn't reply so Avin said:
"It's alright Celeste…I'll stay in hotel, congrats on your wedding Rosa!"
"Oh! So you remembered…but I don't remember inviting you …well if you're
here please stay for breakfast, or else Celeste will be angry" Rosa invited him disinterestedly.
"Rosa be nice!" Celeste yelled but Rosa went into her room.
"I'm sorry Avin…she's always like this" she apologized
"It's okay" he said
Then they all ate breakfast together. Later that night, Celeste and Avin went on
dinner. While chatting like a sweet couple, Avin teased her as:
"This food is delicious…but I believe you' ll cook better than this"
"Don't put your hopes too high, Mr White" she advised him
"What!? Aren't you gonna cook for me…Mrs White?" he mocked her
"No, I'm not" she joked
"Alright, I'll cook for you"
"You'll cook!?"
"Well, somebody has to cook and don't worry I'll cook good" he chuckled.
Suddenly, they saw Rosa and Daniel coming in the restaurant. They greeted
each other as:
"Hi! I'm Avin, Celeste's fiancé…you must be Daniel, Rosa's fiancé "Avin
greeted
"Yes, I am… so, you're Avin?" he chuckled
"Excuse me?... what's so funny?" Avin asked as he was offended
"Oh...nothing, I just remember a joke' he explained
"Probably about me…" he thought
"Oh no! just something else…aren't you gonna invite for dinner?" he asked
"What's the point? You're gonna refuse anyway…so if you excuse me, you're
disturbing our privacy"
"Oh! yes, sorry" he apologized and left.
Rosa and Daniel sat on another table, as they left Celeste started scolding Avin
as:
"Avin! Why did you do that?!"
"Even if I had asked the to join us, they would have said, what's the point of
asking… besides what do they think of me? That I‟m some poor idiot and that
I'm not worthy of marrying you!" he argued
"No! they're like this to everyone, please don't get offended…" she requested.
But he remained angrily silent.
"Please…."she requested with a sweet smile.
He couldn't resist her smile and request, his heart melted and anger was gone.
He smiled and said:
"You always do that, alright lets forget it, enjoy now"
When Rosa and Daniel were eating dinner, the lit candle fell on the table and
set the table on fire. Both ran away from table while screaming. Everybody
came for help including Celeste and Daniel. The waiters used the fire
extinguisher to put off the fire. Celeste and Avin took Rosa home, when she
asked how it happened she said that the candle fell on its on. They thought the
candle must have fell through wind but there was no wind inside. Rosa went to
sleep. Avin and Celeste were talking in Celeste's room, after talking he got up,
kissed on her cheek and left.
Celeste also went to sleep. Rosa saw a nightmare in which she found herself in
the graveyard. She saw the same bride there, staring at her from a distance. The bride started running, Rosa tried to stop her but she didn't listen. She chased
her, but the bride stood next to a grave and pointed at it. Rosa asked who she
was but she said in a dreadful voice:
"Rosa Markov! Look at this grave"
She looked at it, on the gravestone was carved, "Rosa Markov", along with her
date of death, same as her wedding day. Then she looked at the bride again, the
bride wailed at her and she woke up. She wanted to tell everybody but didn't
want to worry them so, she went to sleep.
After that Celeste had a nightmare, she saw herself in the same graveyard and
in front of her she saw Rosa‟s grave. On seeing this, she woke up panting and
rushed to see Rosa, but she was asleep. She didn't wanted to wake her up so,
she went to her room and slept.
Days passed soon the wedding came, everybody was happy. Right at the
moment when they were taking vows, a huge knife fell from the sky and cut
Rosa into two halves. People were horrified, there spread panic and chaos in
the wedding. People were running for their lives. Daniel tried to run as well but
as he was running away he got hit by a truck and died at the moment. This way
both Rosa and Daniel died on their wedding day.
