So as any nomal human being, I started to scream my head off and proceed to have a mental breakdown.
How was I supposed to pay off that phone, I don't have daddy's money like a non debt driven mentally corrupted scicopath who wants their next life to be filled with catgirls.
Of course I had to attend the lecture about basic underground construction and designing for the sake of my girlfriend, she recently contracted an unknown desease of which didn't affect her health, but put her in a comatose state.
Enough with the info dump, let's go to the present.
The instructor started to speak,
"All of you here must know that this year competition is partnered with the military for a survival challenge, the winner gets a hundred grand while those participating will get five grand at the start.."
At the thought of paying off the debt and funding the research for his girlfriend's desease if he won instantly ignited that cheapskate spirit he had earlier.
"There are many risks, even including death, but all you have to do is survive one month in an underground bunker of your design. The limit for this design is 15 thousand USD, so fire up the hardrives and make a design, this entire week will be focused on this so this is a grade, work hard and you might be able to win the money for first place."
Of course he searched up the most popular designs on Oogle, but then he had a spark of inspiration, wouldn't he get extra points for self sustainment?
At the thought he found the most suited foods, mushrooms and bread worms, a species of meal worm that contains higher amounts of vitamins and don't take much food.
The mushrooms would take excrement and turn it into edible food while the bread worms would concentrate it to an edible form, like if you ate a leaf compared to an entire vegetable.
After designing the entire seven days, he created a sustainable design capable of lasting around two months with electicity, then around 6 months without it.
One might wonder how water and electricity will be obtained, the water will be brought up with a hand pump, and a 8 meter deep well, of which would have many pvc pipes in a wheel like pattern in order to obtain maximum output, there was also a backup generator that ran on biodesal and had a generator built in.
Then there was pysical health, all he had was a yoga mat, a bookshelf of informational books, some hardrives, a terminal for controlling the entire bunker as well as some games and one of those bikes that is just a flywheel.
This should be enough in his opinion to last at least up to the third month mark because the minimum prize of 10k was at that mark, he already had all the connections wired to the places he needed to pay.
In total the bunker had 5 rooms, in the biggest there was the exercise equipment as well as books. this was also were the hatch was located to the outside, then the second largest room was the storage room, it stored the spare parts of equipment, mostly some parts for the solar panels and generators.
There was also the agiculture chamber and the sleeping chamber, of which included a bed and a battery powered lamp.
The construction of the bunker was completed in record time and was stocked work the required materials.
