Cindy couldn't stop her body from flinching when she heard one of the prisoners they have held captive. Begging for them to leave her alone.
"Shhhh you need your strength for your next experiment," one of the guards said to her.
Cindy couldn't stand the sight of it. She walks down the hallway with her hands covering her ears.
She needs to endure it. Her conscience won't let her but there isn't anything she wouldn't do to save her daughter.
"You were once a werewolf, a fierce fighter, and a killer," he added leaning against the bars.
The weak werewolf unable to stand on her feet could only whimper quietly.
She wish she could sink her claws into his heart before dying.
She howls. The guard reached out to his taser, he jammed the taser between her ribs soon she was lying helpless on the floor.
"What were you doing there Cindy?" Travis asked.
"Nothing Travis, can the torture be a little less there are human beings after all," she complains bitterly.
She has joined a group of scientists and her husband on secret research, to find out the healing abilities of these creatures.
It all started with Nancy's illness. There was no cure for it. Cindy and Travis did the impossible to create a cure for her.
"Cindy we talked about this, they are monsters. We are trying to save a lot of sick people out there including our only daughter," he explained. He walks her out of the hallway and enters a well-equipped lab.
Two doctors and an assistant were behind a machine.
They were experimenting with a vampire.
Dr. Michael takes an empty syringe from the table and fills it with a sample of blood.
He then hands it over to Travis.
Cindy had her arms folded up, leaning against the wall.
She was feeling guilty. The experiment is unlawful. Even animals don't deserve to go through such humiliation and torture.
Travis added a few drops of some chemicals to the sample, and then insert the sample into the machine.
He starts it.
They were all anxious. They have failed several times.
They were trying to find a way to let humans heal quickly the same way these creatures heal without turning them into one.
Travis and the rest of the scientists lean closer to the screen.
They had high hopes this will succeed.
Unfortunately, it didn't. "There is something wrong," Dr. Michael whimpered.
"It failed again," Travis said as he hits the table with both hands. The other scientist had angry expressions on their faces.
"We are close Travis, don't give up now," Dr. Mark comforts him.
Cindy takes a deep breath before walking close to her husband and having her arms around him.
"We could rerun the test," the assistant suggest. Showing them the screen of the monitor. She explained what could have gone wrong in the test.
"You mean we administered the wrong dosage?" Travis asked with hope on his face again.
"But how? I gave him the shot," Dr. Michael grit.
"Not the dosage doctor, before the sample was taken, he had already been given a different drug. There is a possibility the drug is the cause of the abnormality," she explained in detail.
"Great job Zoe," Dr. Mark compliments. She smiled at her genius mind.
When they were about to rerun the test. A group of werewolves storms the place.
Travis, Cindy, and the other doctors had to exit the building for their safety.
"We need to go now," Cindy insisted as she drags Travis with her. He wanted to go back for his record book.
He grabbed it and share an eye-lock with one of the werewolves in the hallway.
He ran towards him as he runs to the elevator and quickly closed it.
The Yang brothers had come to rescue a friend who was in their captivity.
And they are going to let them pay for his pain. He was barely alive.
He got injected with all kinds of drugs...
