Kayden rolled his eyes. "Oh I heard the mate stuff, you say that to me every time."
"No. "Jeremiah shook his head. "This time it will be different." His eyes were still blue indicating his wolf's agreement. "We'll spend every night together, you won't need to lift a finger, I will take care of you, please my love, just this last time."
Kayden brushed away a tear with a smile. "Okay, I will let things be for now but you've got to tell me everything about Arielle, I am so lost."
Jeremiah smirked, he leaned in and whispered seductively in Kayden's ear. "How about I tell you everything on a road trip."
Kayden squealed, an opportunity to spend some alone time with his mate, then his shoulders dropped. "What's wrong? Don't you want to go with me? "Jeremiah asked with concern.
"Not that, I just returned, my mama will be worried sick if I leave again. My dad literally walked me here, I don't know..."
"Tell your twin, she can fill in for you, please this is the only time I have to be with you, the next few weeks will be busy, you know, new alpha transitioning and stuff," Jeremiah begged, he held Kayden's hands and kissed them dotingly.
A blush tainted Kayden's dark cheeks, and he fluttered. "Fine, wait outside my house while I get my stuff." He said as he rose. He furrowed asking. "Why are we going anyway?"
"To deliver invites ." Jeremiah promptly replied.
Kayden's mouth curved in an O shape, he kisses Jeremiah on the lips before jogging away with Jeremiah on his tail.

Checking through his wardrobe, Kayden picked out a pair of clean underwear. He smirked as he hugged it, yes it's probably a day's trip but all the dirty stuff he and Jeremiah will do kept flashing in his head.
He shoved it into his bag, along with a pack of green flowers and water from the spring of Maru stream, it helps tame his heat so he doesn't lose control when he is with his mate. He smirked, soon he will be mated to the hidden alpha Jeremiah.
Not many know that Jeremiah is an alpha male because he controls his pheromones and attitude but he did for his family, Kayden dreams that one day they will start a pack of their own where everyone is accepted.
Kayden felt someone behind him but decided to ignore it. "MmMm!" Kayden's twin sister coughed.
"What do you want Hayden," he said with nonchalance.
The dark-skinned copy of Kayden with afro hair crossed her arms with a sassy pout. "Nigga you just escaped death and now you're running off with that deadbeat mate of yours? You want Mama to die or what!" She scolded.
Kayden turns to her with a frown and a finger pointing at her. "Hey don't call my man deadbeat, he has his flaws but he is still my mate." He chastised.
Hayden's hands fell, she took a step forward and held the hand her brother was pointing with. "Kay I am worried about you, that guy is not as tough as you make him look, he can't even tell his brother, where is this heading huh?"
"Hay, "Kayden called when he saw his twin's eyes water. "You're my best friend and twin, I tell you everything. Tell me when Jerry has ever hurt me, yes he is still in the closet but we know why, he is scared of rejection. He has been there for our family through hard times, remember when dad's leg was broken by that timber? Who helped us rebuild our new home?"
Hayden was silent, she knew the delta had done a lot for her family. He bought Kayden a car for his 17th birthday, he is sponsoring him through school because their father considers education a waste of time.
He also paid for her at some point before she dropped out. He buys groceries, things that Kayden likes, and gifts for their mother, he was already acting like a proper inlaw.
What annoyed her was that their parents don't know a thing about it, they just assumed their kids have some well-paying jobs in the human town so never bothered to ask.
She wants him to face the world and be proud of who he is, her brother deserves better. "I am not saying he is a bad person, all I want is for him to make all this formal, he is hurting you and you know it," Hayden said.
Kayden freed his hands from her hold to zip the bag after putting his phone in it. "Tell mama and papa that I'm with my mate, I will explain the rest to them when I return." He muttered as he wore the bag pack.
