Evelyn stood there like a wall. Her existence felt useless at that moment. Elric went away. He didn't even care to listen to her. She had been waiting all these days for him patiently. But today she felt it was all a waste.
She began walking out of the council building as there was nothing much left. Hopping into the carriage, she returned to the palace. Just when she entered the palace a maid asked,
"Miss Evelyn, do you want something special to have for dinner?" The maid bowed slightly.
Evelyn gulped as she was controlling the tears for a long time now. "I am not hungry," she replied and strolled towards her room without glancing at the maid.
Just as she opened the door, her eyes fell on the bed. The tears made their way towards the cheeks and she plunged on her bed. This was the second time she was crying like in a while that too because of Elric. She couldn't comprehend why he was behaving harshly with her.
