"You don't have to eat it, Elric. It's too spicy," Evelyn said. Her words depicted concern for him.
He ignored her remarks and continued having his meals till the last grain on his plate. Finishing his dinner, he stood and started walking towards his room.
"Please have some water at least," she said loudly but was ignored again.
In disappointment, she lowered her eyes. She felt guilty since she knew what she did wasn't right. She resented troubling him. She considered apologising to him, but she dismissed the idea after remembering how he had hurt her. But, on the other hand, he didn't deserve to be treated this way. Well, neither did she deserve it.
Being stuck in her own dilemmas, she forgot that she had asked for fruits from the Butler. She got out of her seat and walked up the stairs to her room.
