"So it had begun long back," Mr Saemus remarked.
Elric nodded at him and looked at Evelyn before asking, "Do you know anything about similar cases?"
Evelyn shook her head and replied, "That was the first case I had heard and even at home uncle Admiral didn't mention anything."
"We need to check the case report before proceeding further," Elric stated and glanced at Mr Saemus. "It appears that you the magistrate Baron well," he said.
Mr Saemus chuckled and said, "Yeah, that man is a money eater. With just a few coins, you can get him to do whatever you want. He had once let a culprit flee from the province for a few gold coins. No wonder why the case was closed and no one is aware of it."
Evelyn gave him a blank stare. She'd met two magistrates, both of whom were avaricious. She sighed as she imagined what might happen to the province if the caretakers themselves were to neglect their duties.
"Are all of the cases connected?" she inquired.
