"No!" As she sat straight on the grass, Evelyn exclaimed.
Being disappointed by Elric's hurtful words, she had come to the place where she felt relaxed. The meadows, to be precise. She had never imagined that someone's comments could have such an impact on her. Well, the person wasn't someone though. It took her several hours to calm down and think clearly about it.
She mumbled, "I shouldn't be disappointed by his comments." She was feeling better now but was still disheartened by him. "I won't fall for your honey-coated words, Mr Frithswith."
"People might be concerned for me," she realised as she looked around, realising it was getting late and she hadn't told anyone before coming here. "I need to return to the council," she said quietly.
"The people are already here, Miss Evelyn."
