"You should slow down," Clara asked in concern when she saw Marcel driving over the speed limit and was no longer comfortable with it.
As much as he was concerned over his father - as she thought - it wouldn't do Daniel any good if they ended up dead inside. However, she wasn't sure Marcel was even listening because he showed no other reaction nor did the speed decrease. His jaw was clenched while his eyes were set on the road, his mind far away.
Hence, Clara could only lean back into the seat and make a silent prayer for her soul. As much as Marcel was an experienced driver, nonetheless, it was still a terrifying experience. All she could see was the blur of cars they zoomed past and she fought against the urge to throw up. She didn't want to die yet.
