The crown princess returned to the palace just in time for dinner. Her wings had retreated back into her body. As for her eyes, she was no longer bothered by them after talking to the invisible man.
Ariadne ran into her husband in the corridors. She lowered her head, she had caused him so much worry by running a way that she didn't know how to face him. She simply needed to get away from everything and everyone.
Draxan strode closer to her and wrapped her into a tight hug. He understood her situation. And even though he had a lot of questions to ask, he pushed them for a later time.
In that moment, she didn't need to be interested like a criminal. What she needed was a hug and a warm environment where she could feel safe.
"We should have dinner," he let out and she tensed. She was not ready to face her mother or the other queens. She was not ready to meet anyone at all, with him being the exception.
