Ariadne said nothing to the queen's order but she in no way was accepting of the fact that she had just been ordered to take a male consort. It wasn't just absurd but ridiculous.
"What if I refuse?" She inquired.
Queen Isabella looked at her with an unspoken glint in her eyes that threatened pain and misery if she went down that road.
"It wasn't an option that you can refuse," she uttered in an authoritative voice. Ariadne glanced at her mother with disbelief in her eyes. The woman was getting on her nerve with the order, she knew well that she hated being told what to do and yet he was going ahead to do just that.
More than that, she was forcing her to accept a man that she didn't want. Ariadne's glance turned more hostile with the more that she thought about what was going on.
