Ji Jingchen never came back. After the two of them finished eating, Peter came in to clean up. Du Jiuyuan talked to Grandmother Ji for a while before Ji Jingchen pushed the door open and entered.
"Yuanyuan, take good care of yourself. If you have any problems, look for me. I will help you vent your anger!" Grandmother Ji left the ward with Ji Jingchen reluctantly.
In the next few days, three meals a day were sent to the ward. Peter was even more restless, and he would leave immediately after cleaning up. Ji Jingchen did not appear in front of Du Jiuyuan, however, there was an extra bouquet of roses in the ward every day. The ward was almost full of flowers.
That day, the nurse came early in the morning to change Du Jiuyuan's dressing. She once again brought up the matter of being discharged from the hospital. The nurse pushed everything to the doctor and requested for Du Jiuyuan to relay her questions to the doctor instead.
