[Disappointed]
It was already eight in daylight when I went out of my room, fresh from the bath, wearing a long sleeve shirt and fitted trousers.
In the dining table, Cain was drinking tea entirely at home, dressed in his three-piece suit. In the glass vase on the table, there was a new yellow rose together with the other roses he gave me.
His wet hair, after shower face and smell, was like an aphrodisiac to me. I wrinkled my nose and ignored him. I unpacked the shopping bags in the living area, placing them in their proper places.
"You're angry."
I snubbed him and continued what I was doing.
"Leanna . . ."
I pretended I didn't hear him.
"Leanna . . ."
I sensed him stood from his chair, and though I didn't hear the sounds of his steps, I knew he was approaching me.
I treated him like air and walked past him into the dining area. He followed me around, not uttering a word much to my irritation.
