"Leanna!"
I giggled and ran upstairs towards our bedroom and inside the closet, hiding from him.
I held my mouth, stopping it from making any noise when the bedroom door creaked open, and the sound of Cain's leather shoes pierced the silence.
Cold sweat raced on my back and palms while my hands and legs trembled.
He's scaring me somewhat.
"Do you think you can hide from me? I do so love hide and seek. I know I'll love what happens after I'll find you and take you . . . hard. So hide, my love . . . Hide well."
*gulp . . .
I closed my eyes tight, never dared breath, not making any single noise when the closet door opened. I wanted to make myself smaller so the clothes could hide me.
My hand squeezed my heart, hoping to shut it when it thundered in my chest. Then my eyes flung open when the closet door closed.
D-did he . . . left?
