I sighed after a tiring day of entertaining the guests.
I was in Singapore in my newly opened gallery, massaging my temples and shoulders after the guests emptied the room.
"Cher, you can go back to the hotel now. I'll tidy some things first," I said to my assistant and went to my private office.
Alone, I slumped on the comfy leather couch and opened my phone. All the exhaustion was replaced by excitement and happiness at seeing Lawrence's messages.
It was Christmas Eve and also the opening of my new gallery in Singapore. Lawrence couldn't make it since he had a project he needed to finish first. But he promised to end it early so he could come to me tomorrow to celebrate Christmas.
This was our first Christmas together as a couple.
