Taking a deep breath Demeter analyzed the situation he found himself in, from all the steps he took to appear into an unknown Dream Realm that it's not his own to all the important details of the previous day, a Realm where he appeared in flesh, not only as an avatar after going to sleep like usual, but in soul bounded to undead flesh, to his flesh that now became pale white like on a fresh corpse.
Concentrating on concealing his presence through emiting and adjusting his own Realm's aura to blend in with the surroundings and hide his own presence he begun to remember how it all started:
His day started with him waking up in his tent, in his temporary camp, beside the ruins of a temple in an ancient untouched forest in the middle of nowhere, the forest that he searched all over the territory around Carpathian Mountains in hopes to uncover the mistery of his family for the last four years, at least he found the temple where he feels that he will get his answers.
Demeter thought how his reasearch begun from finding traces of his ancestors from local historical records and it escalated in an adventure that he embarked on when he was nineteen, now he's twenty three in the middle of nowhere trying to uncover secrets of the old.
He chuckled at the irony, he used his hobby for getting a break from his job as a medium that was very taxing on his mind and soul an now the supposed relaxing hobby is as taxing as his job.
After he secured his camp and the food from wild animals he continued to study the Morrigan's Temple where he left, he was certain that there should be an underground chamber like in the last one in a forest in Siberia. He got a lead in the last temple that this is the last abode of the Goddes Morrigan, the place of her death and the main temple of the Dark Druidic line of her believers, and their last resting place too.
Walking through the ruins until he got to the center the Stonehenge looking temple he cleaned the dirt out of the hollow in the central stone and inserted the obsidian look alike cube in the now cleaned hollow cubic shape.
Instantly the whole place shook a bit while he stabilised himself while looking around to spot what's going on. He sensed the Forest's presence in the temple and the chaotic efir that appeared after he inserted the cube.
Right under Demeter legs, beside the central stone piece, appeared a square shaped hole showing some stone stairs leading underground, he intantly falled inside but was agile enough to stop himself after five stair-steps.
He instantly sensed how the ley line interracted with temple's underground through the Forest at the same time, in the past it should've been been much more challenging to enter the place with how it's a sacred ground. Now the effect of concealing is only based on the natural array that surrounded the ruins, that's a cause why the underground wasn't founded yet, that and how challenging is to find the key piece is. Demeter certainly thought that the journey took a tool on his budget and time.
Knowing that the air was too stale he returned back without breathing to get a mining respirator and all the rest of his tools ready.
After an hour of readying his equipment and making sure he's relatively safe and prepared he dived back in the underground chamber, all this sequence of events reminded him of the Big Bad Wolf and Pandorica.
The young man used a flashlight while carefully stepping down the stairs, his instincts and senses got stirred to their possible maximum while he checked everything for traps and important details.
Treading down the echo of every steep he took reflected back to him eerily while he got deeper and deeper throught the narrow tunnel, now he even felt weak air currents wich means the air wasn't as stale as he thought.
After an intense walk he arrived at an open chamber, as Demeter stepped in on a harmless mechanism that he discovered instantly, deduced by him to be something similar to a light switch, several urns ligheted up the entire place showing a ritual chamber created from stone with an altar in the middle like it was described on a mural in the Chern Cathedral in Siberia.
The only addition to the altar that differed from the mural is the draconic loking bones, a massive crystal alike hearth, a pair reptilian orbs like eyes, a ritual looking dagger embeded in the draconic skull and a dark crimson leather bound tome that was calling to him using dream tainted efir.
As in a trance Demeter let himself be conducted by his instincts and the dream efir calling , after making ten steps toward the center of the chamber he stepped on some sort of mechanism just in front of the altar while he touched the strange book.
In the last moments before he blacked out he heard the wailing of the Forest with his soul, he had seen the eerily looking crimson lights emanating from the now empty altar, with his last breath he felt how the world "screamed" at him like an wounded animal, before a natural disaster striked him he closed his eyes for the last time...
