Chapter 1 - Miru

"You fucking-hic-small---dick bastard!"

Miru balled his fist and smacked the older guy in the face. The impact created a loud pak sound and Katheena glanced around in embarassment.

"Miru...shh! Miru stop i---" She tried to hold her friend back to prevent him from attacking his boyfriend again. Her dear friend drowned himself in booze, got batshit drunk and made a scene after his older boyfriend arrived at the club.

The music took another blast to drown the noise of the fight, but of course it did not succeed. Several onlookers found this homo fight interesting, but not everyone could be bothered to take some snaps just for some online clout. Not everyone was that interested in a real-life drama.

Well, unfortunately, not everyone means there's still a minority of people who are attention-deprived. These certain people, who just have nothing to do with their lives, noticed that a fight was about to break out. Like the Gen Z kids that they were, they pulled out their phones and started recording.

"Miru, listen to me, please..." Solei tried to explain himself to Miru, but the latter did not spare him a second to talk, nor did the background music.

"You fucking bastard!--hic! All you say is shit, Go to hell-ic!"

Miru found out that Solei was actually engaged to a woman. It was a family-arranged-marriage type, but what infuriated Miru was that this set up had existed long before they started to date.

The smell of smoke and bodily odors made the space filled with sweaty people so unbearable that Miru teared up.

Yes, it was just because of the foul smell and it had nothing to do with his broken heart.

Miru vented his anger on the man's chest, and tears streamed down his face. Like a child who had his favorite stuff stolen, he started crying.

His pale skin was tinted with a disturbing shade of red. The complexion made him look more ghostly than he already was.

"M-miru--let's talk about this outside? Please? Somewhere private? There are tons of people watching. " Solei glanced at the flock of girls gigglin' to themselves with their cameras up for everyone to see.

"T-there's people recording us. "Miru, let's talk somewhere else, okay? " Solei whispered the few last words, afraid that some other people would notice how gentle they sounded. Miru ignored him and continued to vent.

"L-liar...hic-liar"

Katheena glanced at the girls who were recording and went to where they were.

"Hey, can you bitch--I mean girls--stop recording!" She tried to ask them nicely but the flocks of girls ignored her.

"What pri--vate-private? You should keep your balls to yourself!You--cheater! Hic--trash!" Miru's obviously drunken voice made the flocks of girls grip their stomachs just to hold their laughter in.

"What a weird homo fight--pfft" The girl with a brown hair commented. There wasn't anything off with the sentence, but the way the brown haired put emphasis on the homo part instantly irked Katheena.

"He--"

"Wait! Oh crap, look at that other man's face. Doesn't he look too old? " A girl cut in and squinted her eyes. The others did the same and confirmed what she had said as true.

The guy that was obviously mad looks around 16 years old based on his lean build and the other guy, who looks totally out of place with his business outfit, looks like he's around his 40s.

"Wait, what the fuck? What's this? A sugar baby and sugar daddy fight? " The browned girl gasped with her eyes wide open. The flocks of girls looked at each other as they tried to digest the situation.

"So homos have sugar daddies too?"

The place where the two were was really dark and they could barely see anything, but they were sure that this must have been one of those sugar-baby-daddy cases.

"Holy fuck that's disgusting!"

Katheena snapped after hearing that from the brown-haired woman and pulled the latter to face her.

"What did you say? Disgusting? Ha! You! Stop recording! You keep on running your mouth but you don't know anything---come here!"

The music in the place gradually died down as the commotion overpowered the fun inside the club. The bouncers did not dare touch the daughter of the owner. So, as a result, nobody stopped Katheena from making another scene. They could only quietly watch the party boopers.

Miru and Solei faded into the background. Nobody even noticed that the two had already exited the club.

"Can you take your hands off me? What's wrong with you?" The brown-haired girl tried to get the tight hands off her wrist, but it wouldn't budge.

"Hey! Hey! Let go!" She started smacking Katheena to have her release her, although this notion only earned her a laugh. Katheena was a bigger woman and was stronger in the aspects of strength too.

"Hey bitch---I told you to stop recording." Katheena glanced at the phone in the brown-haired girl's hands and tried to snatch it away. However, the brown-haired girl's reflexes were fast and she managed to avoid Katheena's hands.

"Did you just tried to steal my phone?" The brown-haired girl spoke every syllable with a high pitch.

The dumbfounded expression on her face made Katheena cringe in annoyance.

The girls added another mess inside the bar after they failed to come up with a mutual agreement. Things eventually escalated into another fight.

"You stinking robber"

"You nosy brat!"

At this chaotic point, Katheena's mother, Heera arrived. A staff informed her of the commotion on the dance floor.

She ordered the bouncers to separate the other girls from Katheena. The fight was obviously in favor of her child's enemy. She couldn't have them unfairly win or have her daughter get wounded.

Heera dragged Katheena back to their private room. The fight was finally stopped and people calmed down after the initial shock. The flocks of girls were kicked out for causing a ruckus.

The crowds of people who attended to enjoy the party were relieved.

Honestly, nobody wants to witness a real-life drama.

"What were you doing Katheena? I allowed you to do something and the next second you're giving me reasons to ground you again!" Heera scolded her daughter the instant they entered a separate private room. Heera booked another room for Katheena's other friends, but they did not come. This left her with a free room to use at her disposal.

Katheena took the ice pack her mother handed her and patted it on the swell on her cheeks. One of the girls she fought with was so tough she was straight out punched in the face.

'Who invited tarzan in here?'

"Katheena! Answer me!" Heera clapped her hands in front of her dazed daughter. This pulled the girl out of his reverie in an instant.

"A-ah yes---sorr---wait, Ma, it's not my fault! Those girls were recording Miru and insulting him! I just defended my friend---ouch!" She accidentally pressed more than enough pressure on her swollen cheeks and was assaulted by pain.

Heera stared at her troublemaker child and sighed. When she looked around to ask for confirmation on Miru about what her daughter had said---was when she realized that Miru wasn't in there.

"Katheena, where's your friend?"

"Wait--yeah?! Where the hell is Miru?"

Solei dragged Miru to his car for a private conversation. Miru was still aggressive on the way and would often shout, but after he vomitted and sobered up, he turned unusually quiet and it scared Solei.

Miru was usually stiff and silent, he rarely expressed strong emotions like he did earlier. Only when there was liquor in his system would Miru act exactly the opposite of how he normally does.

"Miru--"

"Let's end this. This is so pathetic." Miru cut him off. He wiped the wet liquid on his eyes and dried his face. He was calm, a huge contrast to his earlier antics.

Solei tried to hold Miru's hands, but Miru avoided him. The mere thought of touching this man so disgusted him that he felt the urge to vomit for the second time.

"Y-you don't understand. You're the one I love--"

"Okay, thank you, I don't need it so please get out of my life now." Miru cut him off and faced him. The corners of his eyes were still red. And the tint of red on his nose and cheeks had yet to fade.

Despite his pitiful looking state, the way Miru spoke those words was filled with resolve and certainty. It was as if his decision wouldn't change even if tomorrow would be the day the world would come to an end.

Solei was left speechless. He had never expected that Miru would act like this at all, he thought he would keep on arguing with him. He thought he would atleast try to talk things out or even ask him to break the engagement. But none of that happened.

Miru.....doesn't seem to care anymore.

Solei wished Miru would blame him again, show him his anger and dissapointment. Solei could take that, he felt that all those things would have been better than this apathetic breakup.

"Miru, you know I love-"

Miru cut him again and sighed.

" Oh, you love me? Okay."

"I don't understand how come you're inlove with me but still acted like this, but okay."

"You're sorry for cheating? Okay."

"What else are you apologizing for?"

The silence enveloped the car, and it was unknowingly louder than a noise. Solei heard a ringing in his ears, a reminder that subconsciously told him that this would be the last time he would ever converse with Miru.

"This would be the last time I'd forgive you."

Miru went out of the car. He then stood beside the window briefly and spoke.

"I don't--ever want to see you again."
