What Dean heard from the elder was somewhat unbelievable. He was not a transcendent demonic mage; he was only a hellhound mage and demonic wolf. And what did he mean by he only saw one side? This meant that the elder couldn't find out his wolf side.
'Why could that be?' Dean couldn't help but think about it.
"You two may now go have your seats." The elder said before he kept on calling out the rest names.
Two main thing of significance happened to two jolly friends. One was a sky mage, which had only been heard of in stories told by their grandparents. And the other, a completely unbelievable one in fact, a transcendent demonic mage, this would only be known to the eldest in town, or immortals since the last time there was a demonic mage, there was nothing but havoc and cosmic disturbance. The information about demonic mages was passed down from generation to generation, warning them to stay from one and never provoke one. Damien was disgusted by the looks he got from the crowd, he expected them to look at him the same way they looked at Toshiro, but the looks on their faces were looks of fear. Damien walked to his seats, but what happened again was new; everyone in his path cleared the way. The elders noticed this and regretted his action of saying the results.
"Don't worry everyone, he's just a kid." The elder said trying to establish calmness around the crowd. Damien was glad at what happened right after; the crowd got back to their seats and gave way for Damien to pass through, but that didn't stop them from giving him those strange looks, despite that, Damien walked passed them, still happy that they were scared of him.
'Look at them.' Damien thought.
Soon the test was over, Annabelle sister, Jasmine was a Red Phoenix, and of course, taking after her late mother. The test was soon over; all the subjects who had been tested were called out, for them to choose their respective academies. They were called out one by one in the list of registration.
"What academy do we choose?" Toshiro whispered to Damien.
"I think we should go for the Ashraf academy, they look pretty neat and awesome." Damien replied pointing at the particular academy.
"Well, if you say so."
"Let's get to know them. Common." Damien dragged Toshiro towards a slender man in his late thirties.
"Hi, I'm Damien. And this is Toshiro." Damien said giving a low bow.
"Oh, you are the two kids who are in the mouth of everyone." Musa said, before removing his hands which was initially in his pocket.
"Yeah, we want to enroll into your academy." Damien said with a weird smile on his face.
"Wow you sure?" Musa asked with a confused expression.
"Yup"
"Well then, when are you preparing to leave? Wait, can I see your father."
"Yeah, ok sure. They're right…." Both Damien and Toshiro looked around but couldn't find them.
"Here." Damien and Toshiro looked back to see both Raio and Dean standing behind them.
"I see you've already chosen your academy already." Dean said.
"You must be their parents." Musa said stretching out his hand to Dean for a shake.
"My name's Dean I'm Damien's dad." Dean said accepting the hand shake.
"I'm Raio, father of Toshiro." Raio said
"Wow, very strong warriors you have for children." Musa commented.
"Thanks, we're really honored." Dean replied with a smile on his face.
"Well, there's no disapproval about the choice of my child, really the home of strong warriors." Raio complimented.
"Thank you sir, when do you wish for them to leave? We still have to attend to others." Musa replied
"The day after tomorrow would be okay." Raio said on behalf of Dean who only smiled.
"Well then, come with me, let's get something done." Musa said leading the way as Raio and Dean followed behind.
"Well, now that that's done, let's go greet Luke and his ex shall we?" Damien said resting his arm on Toshiro's shoulder.
"Who told you she's his ex?" Toshiro asked.
"Well they don't talk that much, distancing themselves with Jasmine, and also staring at each other at intervals." Damien replied.
The both walked to where Karl and the rest sat. Luke stood up once he saw Damien, he walked to his brother with a smile on his face.
"Well, well. Look who's in the mouth of everyone" Luke said.
"Yeah well, you know me. I'm the strongest guy in town now." Damien boasted.
"Who told you that?" Karl interrupted.
"Oh you want to go now so we can test our strength?" Damien asked.
Karl frowned, he felt like strangling Damien right where he stood. The both stared at each other with a look of seriousness and anger, a laugh from behind cut the intense air short.
"You two look cute when angry." Ann said with a smile.
"Hey Luke's ex." Toshiro said waving his hand in the air. Damien smacked Toshiro on the waist.
"Ouch, why did you do that?" Toshiro asked after dropping down his hand.
"Luke's ex, seriously?" Damien replied in a low tone.
"What, I don't know her name."
"Annabelle, please to meet you." Ann said stretching her hand forward for a hand shake.
"Oh, Toshiro," Toshiro replied grabbing her hand softly in a weird way, then shook it vigorously causing everyone around stare at him with a weird expression.
"What the hell you rat? Your father never thought you how to treat royals or what?!" Karl said to Toshiro.
"Oh, she's a royal?" Toshiro asked.
"The princess" Damien said gritting his teeth.
"Oh sorry, I didn't know." Toshiro composed himself then walked to Damien. All Ann did was just laugh at his weird behavior. Jasmine came to join them, accompanied by two huge men.
"Wow, the princess sister's pretty." Toshiro whispered.
"Wow Toshiro. Really a wow." Damien said, his tone clearly expressing disappointment. He walked away from the crew along with Toshiro.
Dean and Raio walked to the two who stood at the arena gate waiting for them.
"Dad! Where've you been?" Damien asked.
"And what's with the face." Toshiro said noticing their sad expression.
"We've got some pretty bad news kids." Raio said.
"Unfortunately, you guys wouldn't be going to any academy as at now. You'll have to wait for some years." Dean announced.
"What?!" Damien and Toshiro simultaneously said.
