"N..Nolan?" I could hear the tentativeness that was filling Addie's voice. The fear that was there. Was it so bad that I was in love with her? "N..Nolan, why are you saying all of this? Why? You know that we can't be together. You know that it wouldn't work." I didn't want to hear that. I didn't want to hear her say that. I didn't want to hear that we couldn't be together. It was heartbreaking. It was enough to destroy me, but I wouldn't let this be the end of it. I was going to keep moving forward.
