Nolan wanted to teach me everything from the ground up. He wanted to treat me like a little kid that had never done magic a day in her life. I might not be an expert, but I wasn't completely new to it either. I was at least partially proficient at it. And I could at least do half of what it was that he wanted to teach me with no problems at all.
