The sound of two bowls, with three ice cream flavors, scoops with bright cherries and a light drizzle of chocolate sauce on top, being slid on the kitchen counter filled the dimly lit room. On the sides were peeled bananas sandwiching the three scoops of ice cream bringing together the most perfect banana split the Marshal had ever made.
Opposite him were his two greedy kids eyeballing the tantalizing dessert with drool at the corner of their lips. He made sure to keep the distance between them and the bowls long enough that he would be able to retrieve them if they dared act recklessly.
While polishing three dessert spoons he gazed at the pair of siblings and asked, "Youxi does it look good?"
Yi Youxi swallowed his saliva while averting his gaze like he wasn't going to answer that question. The Marshal didn't mind. To bring down their defenses one had to go for the weakest link in the chain and that link was his youngest child.
