Just as he was about to close the door his nana turned around abruptly and suddenly asked, "Why do you seem flustered?"
"Ah—," exclaimed Qie Xieling his mind blank for a second. "I I was about to brush my teeth when you knocked so I ran over," he finally said with a smile hiding his nervousness.
Nana Qie raised her brow a little suspiciously but she just took his explanation. "Don't run again. If you fall and break a bone it would be troublesome," she said and Qie Xieling nodded his head his hand nervously pinching the door. That's because peeking underneath the bed were Luo Muchen's slippers. If she saw them they would both get into trouble and Luo Muchen might not be able to sleep over anymore.
"Wake Ah-Chen up and come down for breakfast," she repeated before turning to leave. This time he watched her go downstairs and then closed the door.
