The interior of the palace was quite nice. The decorations were not excessive, generally a simple design was preferred.

But walking around inside one... it was a completely different feeling.
I felt like I could get lost in the wrong corridor.
The people who walked these corridors also didn't seem... friendly. There were servants, guards, nobles I didn't even know who they were.
But the strange thing was that... none of them were looking at us.
Not a single one of them turned in our direction, as if they couldn't see us or might die the moment they did.
It made the already uncomfortable atmosphere even more tense. As if... we were invisible.
No, as if everyone was deliberately ignoring us.
