Three brisk raps on the door and Eric waited. This was it. This was the moment. A few seconds passed and he rolled his shoulders, muttering to himself as though he was rattling off scriptures from his memory. He knew. He knew that he couldn't screw this up. He wasn't about to allow himself that. Sure, he met a slight disturbance to his otherwise perfect plan, and he was frazzled for a brief period of time. But now, it was time he got up from his slump. He needed to achieve some manipulation and he laid eyes on his target right away.
