Cain Lenard was a poor, diligent college student addicted to games. He lived alone in a dirt-cheap room with a single-window. He used to attend college in the morning, work in a department store, and for pleasure he played games at night on his cheap laptop.
It was when a regional game tournament with a huge $150000 prize was announced, he started gaming seriously. It was a god blessed opportunity. He took a week off from his work and college. He spent entire 3 days climbing ranks, leveling up and collecting items nonstop.
The chances of him winning were astronomically low yet he wouldn't give up on his chance to change his life. The qualifying round was to be started the next day.
'I should get some sleep. Tomorrow my whole life will change.' he thought and immediately lied down on his bed. He was tired from the continuous gaming
His 3 days of nonstop hardcore gaming was indeed about to change his life but not in a way you would think.
*Yawn*
'Umm. It had been so long since I had such nice sleep', thought Cain.
'Such warmth, such fluffiness. I feel like I am in the clouds. This is bliss.'
'Ahh! I am in heaven'
Smooth music was playing in the background. Cain wanted to stay like this forever.
'. . .'
'. . .'
'....Hmm!?....'
Feeling that something was wrong Cain suddenly woke up. His room should not have been that comfy. He woke up and looked around just to realize, it was a white fog all the way he can see.
" Huh! Where am I? Am I dreaming? This is not my room."
He was confused and after regaining his composure, he was seriously worried.
"Did I get kicked out from my room? No, There's no way there is fog outside the house."
He had not paid the rent of his room for 3 months now. If the homeowner finds his room empty, he will confiscate all his belongings.
And the game tournament he was about to enter...
"Oh shit, I have to get out of here. Where is the damn door?" He was was in trouble.
He began exploring the surroundings where he finds a chair and a desk made from clouds. Just when he was about to approach it, he was interrupted by a noise.
*FLUSH* *FLUSH*
'. . .'
'What was that noise?'
Surprised by the noise faced towards the source of the sound where he could see a door.
'Oh, a door. I can get out now. '
'Huh. Wait ...Was this door here before?' he thought when he reached the door.
Suddenly, the door opened, slamming Cain's head and flying him off a few meters, and revealed a pale old-looking man with a white beard in an all-white robe.
"AHH! Damn it! This horrible diarrhea. It has been 6 times already. AHHH!! Which evil god cursed me?" exclaimed the old man angrily.
'. . .'
After getting hit in his head Cain's brain almost stopped working trying to understand the ridiculous situation he was in.
'Huh. Diarrhea, God? What's going on here?', was the only thing his poor brain could process. Seemingly on the clouds, old man with bowel disorder appearing out of nowhere was definitely not a common everyday occurrence. He was not ready for it.
The boy kept staring at the old man without uttering a sound.
"Huh?" The old man seemed to notice the young boy.
"Oh, a visitor, an envoy?" said the old man in surprise.
It was rare for him to find someone in his office room.
"uh." the boy wanted to say something. Just then a fine parchment suddenly appeared with a poof sound and smoky effect.
"Hmm. I see. I see"
"Wait, Isn't this the job of the Department of Afterlife? Damn it Yama, Osiris. Dumping all their work on me. And here I have to come even when I am sick. Ahh, After this is done I am going to the Neolithic age for vacati..."
"Ahem! Ahem!"
"Where was I again?"
"Oh right!"
"Random soul from world 9x'hY)sT.¶A`∆36+°|gEx09f11-!_kl& due to unknown reason you are not eligible to reincarnate in your previous world."
"The what? Am I dead?" asked Cain.
"Yes, you are" replied the old man.
"Oh, it's a relief I don't have to pay the rent anymore."
"...Oh shit, It was supposed to be my big day today."
"No crying over spilled milk, human." said the old man.
"Umm, So what happens now?" said Cain.
"Surprisingly fast to adapt, aren't you?"
That said the old man disappeared and reappeared with a thick book on him.
"Now let's see."
"Ok, Ok, yes, hmm..."
"I see, Due to your exceptional case you won't be judged and be sent to a different world until results from the investigation of your case come in."
'So, I am gonna get reincarnated in a different world. Isn't it like from the novels and mangas I used to read?'
'Maybe I will be born with a golden spoon in this life. Maybe I will be a prince of some powerful kingdom. Hehehe, new life here I come'
'Calm down, let's not get ahead of myself'
"Reincarnating dead souls is the work of Department of Afterlife but if those lazy shits
can do it, I can do much better. It should be a piece of cake for amazing god like me. HuHuHu "Said the god.
'Plus, I had done a crash course on reincarnating souls so it shouldn't be that hard '
"Now, let's continue." said the god after which he brought another thick book and started turning pages randomly.
"Aha, This world seems right. So dead one, you will be sent to a world of swords and magic, dragons and dungeons"
"Wow! Can I get some cool powe.."
"And off you go"
"AHHH..."
With that said Cain fell down a dark hole screaming until he could not be seen.
"Whew, that was surprisingly intensive. I had almost forgotten the procedures. I should take the crashcourse again." God.
The god closed the book and saw its name "Worlds That are Doomed for Destruction and How to Fix Them (Probably)".
"Hmm, Worlds That are ..Oops, Mistakes were made. Hope the human won't die immediately."

'Ahh, I am drifting in this endless sea,
probably, I think so, cause I can't see,
And is it heartbeat that I hear?
I wonder if my birth is near.'
'I hope I am born soon,
With a golden spoon,
My previous life was so so,
My second life, let's have a go'
'My memories are still intact which is nice but it's boring. How much will I have to wait?'

God: "Oh shit, Did I clear that human's memory? I hope I won't get fired for this"
