As the day was nearing it's end, monster corpses were piled up in the front courtyard of the Eternal Castle. If one were to count roughly, they would find more than a hundred corpses.
The infantry went to the barracks to rest as well. While the captain went in the castle to report.
After a few minutes, Zaiden came out along with the captain of the infantry unit. There was an excited expression on his face.
When the infantry were out hunting, Zaiden received a unique notification.
[ Tier 4 elite-wolf killed. +39 Energy, +1 Magic Stone, +1 Magic Crystal ]
It was because he realised that magic crystals were only dropped by Tier 4 or higher levelled monsters. But the drop rate was still quite low.
But when Zaiden realised that there was a hundred percent chance to drop one magic stone, he sighed in relief. They might even drop more than one.
After walking out of the castle, Zaiden went towards the piles of corpses and stood in front of a few huge ones.
There were a total of 11 such corpses. During their hunt, the infantry unit took out a pack of Tier 4 wolves. Thus all of them reached Tier 5.
Also, being their lord, Zaiden and the two girls reached Tier 3.
[ Do you want to collect the monster corpse? ]
"Yes."
Zaiden choose to collect without hesitation.

"Elite-meat."
Seeing the world 'elite' before the meat, Zaiden's eyes lit up. Obviously it was a good sign.
After confirming with the captain of the infantry unit, Zaiden knew that not only does the meat taste better than ordinary meat, it can even provide some points of energy upon consumption.
Seeing the notification, Zaiden quickly collected all the corpses one by one.
"Collect."

After a dozen or so minutes, Zaiden was done with collecting all the dead monster corpses.
In the batch of corpses, Zaiden gained a huge amount of resources.
In total, he gained 2 magic crystals, 27 magic stones, 110 units of elite-food, 1200 units of food and a lot of elite as well as ordinary monster materials.
Immediately, he put up 1000 units of food for trade. Just like before, it caused a huge commotion on the World Chat. But a little bigger.
Also, he did not want to sell elite-meat. They were required for his military units.
"Although the elite-meat might sell for a huge price, I am no idiot. It would be more useful for the development of my forces."
"But before that, I need to first upgrade my military structure."

Zaiden checked the warehouse and found a total of 48 magic stones. He was still half way to the requirement for upgrading the military structure.
"I guess I would be able to upgrade it by tomorrow."
Seeing that the sun was about to set, Zaiden went back to the castle. He also ordered the infantry unit to stop hunting for the day and continue tomorrow morning.
The reason was simple actually. Nights were always dangerous in forests.
Although Zaiden didn't knew how the nights were in this world, but he was sure that he couldn't underestimate them. Atleast not with his current strength.
Thus he felt that it was better to be careful and take one step at a time. He was already ahead of the other castle lords. So Zaiden could simply wait for one night.
In fact, all the castle lords would have to do so. Only if they want to survive that is.
"Tomorrow, I can summon one more military unit at the least. It would just be great if I can use that loophole."
Zaiden went back and after eating the dinner made from elite-meat along with Angelica and Irene, he went to bed. Obviously, he was tired doing so much 'hard work'.
After half an hour, the sun set in the west and night engulfed the forest. A blood-red moon descended on the sky.
It gave off a strange blood-red light. When the monsters came in contact with the light, they became berserk and entered a crazed state.
Their strength increased by almost five times. All the castle lords who didn't call their military unit back, got attacked by the berserk monsters. In just few moments, the military units were wiped out.
All the castle lords were scared shitless. They hid in the castle and closed the doors and windows. They even forgot that they were protected by the light barrier.
It's just that the power of the berserk monsters was just too terrifying.
None of the castle lords dared to come out of their castle much less the light barrier. Some of them even pissed their pants when they saw those scarlet eyes glaring at them.
The pressure was too much for the castle lords to handle.
But, obviously there was an anomaly.
For Zaiden, the night passed rather 'peacefully'.
The next day, when Zaiden heard the reports of the last night through the captain of infantry, he felt glad.
"Looks like I made the right decision yesterday."
