STRANGE OLD MAN
A small size village view appeared in Gary's eyes . There were only ten to twelve wooden houses and behind the village he could hear the water flowing which proves that this place was bay valley.
In front of the village stood a two half human and half beast stone statue at the both side holding a ancient lantern which illuminated the darkness and provided light to the village entrance.
The two stone statue had a lower body of human while their upper part of them had strange beast head with wings behind them .
When he laid his eyes on them he suddenly felt warm which made him puzzled . The weather was bone chilling cold which made him shiver but when he was standing near the stone statue he felt abnormaly warm .
'Maybe because of the lantern'
When he was wondering the lady said slowly while looking at Gary in mocking tone.
"They are called as guardians"
He was surprised seeing her Explaining him but he didn't say anything and just listened quietly .
The lady started to continue when she saw his silence response.
"Legend says that the stone statue was a real living beings which were cursed and banished to be guards for eternity "
Gary said with confused tone
"Why were they banished ?"
She paused for a moment and said with uncertainty
"That's still unclear about the reason behind their banishment but rumours said that they were cursed because they once did a evil ritual which sacrificed thousands of innocent lives "
Gary couldn't help but say in midway of her speech
"If the rumours were truth then they deserved it . But who banished them ?"
The lady looked at him and said with contempt
"You don't even know them ? Of course it's gods "
Gary nodded and didn't mind her contempt since he basically ignorant in religious matters.
He asked again to her with a hint of intrest
"What we're these statues called ?"
The lady replied with a weird acent
"gfwty hsweu"
Gary felt that she was purposely teasing him . so he wanted to mock her but Andrew cut him off .
"Enough . We will enter the village and be ready for any unusual activity appearance. "
Gary and others nodded their head in understanding .
When they were about to enter the village a horase voice came behind them .
"Who are you people?"
Immediately the four of them became alert and immediately turned behind while pointing their flashlight at the voice direction.
A 60 year old man who held a wodden stick in his one hand while his other hand held a fire torch . He looked at them and once again said
"Who are you ? And what are you all doing here ?"
Gary was now facing the old man since he was the last person behind them but this old man who was too weak and shaking slightly is standing behind them without alerting them.
'Did he come when we were having conservation or was he hiding here someplace ? No . Why would he hid and in this place ? '
As he more thought about this the more he felt starnge and uneasy .
Andrew who was behind them immediately came forward and said coldly
"Are you one of the residents of this village ?"
The old man looked at Andrew and said slowly with still the hoarse voice
"Yes I'm the village chief of the bay valley Village . But why do you ask young man ?"
'So this village place is called Bay valley!'
Gary thought in his mind .
The bald man who was quiet said suddenly
"Old man did you followed us or were you nearby ?"
The lady and Andrew was silent clearly waiting for the answer. Gary had a strange feeling coming from this old man which made him slightly uneasy so he aslo became silent waiting for his answer.
The old man ignored the question but instead asked another question
"You people are really something aren't you? . You guys came to my village at this night and now you are asking me why am I here ?"
The lady who had a temper among them was about to say something but Andrew gave her a signal and said
"Oh sorry for the rudeness . Grandpa we lost the way when we were traveling and when the night arrived we fortunately found this village "
As he said he gave eye contact to the lady.
The lady calmed down and said to the old man with soft tone seeing their leader signal
"Yes grandpa we can no way travel back to the city now so can you help letting us stay inside one of your village house and we will leave immediately at morning "
The old man started to look like he was pondering and after that with a wide smile he said to them
"In that case you guys can stay with us tonight ."
When Gary saw the old man smile his hairs stood at the end . He couldn't help but held the cane infront of him tightly .
'Why do I feel like he is hiding something from us and why is he smiling widely when some starnge people appeared in his village '
Wouldn't the first reaction from the normal people to be scared and be cautious but this old man is smiling like he truly isn't afraid of anything .
'And why is there no sound from the village ? Is it because it was already late night ? But strange even the howls and cries from the beasts were not coming too! '
But outside he was silent and didn't say anything.
Andrew gave his thanks without any emotions and said to us while facing towards our direction.
"You heard it ! Now we will stay here tonight and leave Tommorow morning . "
As he said he went towards the village while the lady and the bald man followed him. Only Gary who wanted to go inside hesitated for a while and said to the old man
"Old man aren't you coming with us inside ?"
The old man still had the same smile and said
"I have some thing to do so I will return later after finishing it ".
Gary nodded and went inside but after two seconds he suddenly turned back to ask something but instead his hairs stood up , while a chill traveled to his spine.
