The information about these weird green veins appearing on some people was spread far and wide. Some thought it was a virus or some new disease that started to spread. Even though it took a lot of time and money, scientists who were told to research this project were able to gather the 13 bodies.
When it was found out that no more bodies with the virus could be found again, they started their experiments. First, they tried to pierce one of the bodies to take out a blood sample for testing. But the syringe couldn't pierce the body. Strange. After trying several times on all the bodies and it wasn't able to pierce them, they tried using a thin laser beam to pierce their bodies and draw a little amount of blood. But even that didn't work. So they went a step ahead and used a drill. Their machine was destroyed when it came into contact with their skin. What the heck!! What are these guys' bodies made of? If a laser didn't work, how much more a knife or blade? But they tried using it to cut all their bodies but as to be expected, their knives and blades were destroyed instead. Now they tried using something more dangerous.
They were hesitant at first. But after a thorough argument and a lot of facts, they tried using... a chainsaw. Nothing impressive though, but they concluded on that first... only to have their chainsaws destroyed again. This greatly shocked many of the scientists as their chainsaws were much better than normal ones and could cut a fully grown tree effortlessly much less a human body. But they were scientists so they moved to the next material they could use to ' draw blood '. They tried using a very strong laser beam instead. But the results were still the same. Just that some of their items got destroyed by the laser beam.
Now one of them stated this idea of them throwing the bodies from a very dangerous height to reduce the toughness of their bodies. Many of them at first rejected the idea but as scientists, facts come first so they went on with it. When they were done with the arrangements, they dropped one body first. The body collided with the ground and a crater was formed due to the force. Some scientists gasped while others looked closely at the ground with anticipation. They went to check on it and lo and behold! The body didn't even have a dent on it. Others nodded with a satisfied expression while others were still in shock. No time to lose then. They quickly 'threw' all the others from that same height. The same result so they moved forward.
By now, the scientists were done holding back. Their original goal of 'drawing blood' turned into 'destroying the body' instead. They used the most dangerous weapons they could find, used a normal slingshot(hey, everything had to be tested), and tried to cook the body. They also threw the body in very concentrated acid, used a very high voltage to try and shock the body but these bodies remained untouched.
By now, the scientists were just crazy that everything they tried did not work. After trying various experiments for years, they eventually gave up because they couldn't keep up with the cost, and the bodies remained the same. If they continue to work on them, it will be a huge waste of time and money. This news eventually reached the ears of the public. But the public saw the bodies differently.
No one knew who started the rumors, but it was said that gods had descended to inhabit these bodies so if they were worshiped them enough, they will rise and answer everyone's prayer. Just like that, a new religion was found. They called themselves Greendies mostly because of the green veins. The public demanded the bodies so they could send their religion to the next level. It pained the scientist to let go of the bodies because a lot of money, time, and resources were wasted on these bodies, and now the public demanded them for their religion? Then what was the point of their experiments? Since they considered destroying the bodies a failed experiment there was nothing they could do to keep the bodies. So they handed them over to the public. This religion called greendies expanded all over the world until two-thirds of the population worshiped them.
About two hundred years later, the bodies the Greendies all loved and worshiped... started to explode. Yes, they started to explode one after another, into tiny green particles which disintegrated into thin air. It was so sudden the worshipers there were truly shocked.
"What - the - fuck - just - happened?"
"..."
An all-out war just started between the people because they could not fathom what happened they just attacked each other out of pure shock. The higher-ups could not find an excuse to give their loyal worshipers. Heck, they were even looking at each other with accusing stares. (Their region wasn't too united like the greeks worshiping all their gods at once. Worshipers of individual gods tend to clash from time to time). Some of them tried to shift the blame to other religions but the religions successfully defended themselves with words of justice.
In the water realm, where the real culprits were.
" The process is complete now," T.K said. "The inhabitants have successfully been transferred to this realm. We will be moving out soon so be ready."
All the 13 members did what they had to do and said their final goodbyes. They gathered around a certain mirror. Don't get the wrong idea it didn't look like a mirror at all it looked like a giant cube with cubes and spaces floating within it. T.K asked one final time if everyone was ready. All of them had already made up their minds, this realm wasn't gonna miss them. They had no idea what was waiting for them on the other side. But they took the risk anyway. Would they have reached this far without taking risks? No. They wouldn't have. T.K activated the mirror and they all glowed bright green and finally vanished.
*Be expecting us parallel realm!*
