Chapter 18 - Chapter 17

Marugori, once a determined and muscular young man, had harbored grand aspirations of becoming the strongest being in the world.

His physical prowess was impressive, but it wasn't enough for him. That changed when he consumed the ultimate steroid concocted by his older brother, Fukegao.

The transformation that followed was nothing short of astonishing.

From a formidable young man, Marugori evolved into a monstrous titan, his body growing to an incredible height of nearly 300 meters and weighing over 300 tonnes.

Monstrous tubes jutted from his chest and looped around his neck, giving him an appearance reminiscent of the man-eating titans that haunted the nightmares of many.

But it wasn't just his size that made him fearsome; he wielded the power of a true giant. The mere swing of his hand could generate shockwaves that obliterated entire cities, and skyscrapers crumbled beneath his colossal feet.

He felt like an unstoppable force, invincible in his newfound might.

"Brother, we've done it!" he bellowed with wild exhilaration. "We are the ultimate combination of brains and brawn, destined to reign supreme!"

His brother, a slender figure in a lab coat perched upon his shoulder, shared in his delirium. A manic gleam danced in his eyes as he gazed upon the devastation they had wrought.

"Ahahaha, let's lay waste to more cities and conquer the entire world. We shall stand as kings, with all bowing before us.

Even those pesky S-Class Heroes won't stand a chance. Your very saliva will be enough to annihilate them."

Marugori's titan form thumped forward, each step shaking the earth beneath him. Yet, his triumphant march was interrupted by a voice that exuded casual boredom.

"Hey, put on some pants, would ya?"

Fukegao's eyes widened in disbelief as he pointed towards the bald man who was sitting nonchalantly on Marugori's opposite shoulder.

"Hold on, there's someone else on your shoulder?!"

Reacting without much thought, Marugori raised his massive hand to swat at the intruder as if swatting a bothersome insect.

Tragically, he mistook which shoulder the man was on, and his strike turned his brother into nothing more than a meaty smear.

"Brotheeeeeeeeer!"

A heart-rending cry echoed through the air, filled with anguish and loss.

Saitama, observing the scene with his signature blank expression, waited until Marugori's initial shock and grief had subsided.

He contemplated speaking to the giant about the feeling of overwhelming power that had come with his transformation. However, his thoughts veered towards another individual – the young man with the enigmatic, kai .

Saitama believed that kai might understand his own struggles better, given their shared handsomeness and popularity.

To end it all, Saitama propelled himself towards the colossal face of Marugori, his intent clear – a single punch to finish the job.

But just before his fist could make contact, a familiar voice sliced through the tension. "Stop, Saitama."

Saitama halted in mid-air and turned his attention towards the source of the interruption. "Oh, it's you. Why are you stopping me from killing this monster—"

Before Saitama could finish, Marugori's enormous hand struck with blinding speed, connecting with Saitama's form and sending him crashing into the ground.

The titan's subsequent stomps pounded onto Saitama's body, a brutal onslaught of force and aggression. "You killed my brother. Die! Die! Die! Die!"

Amidst the chaos, Kai's laughter filled the air as he transformed into his fiery Elemental form. With a swift motion, he summoned a multitude of flame lances into the sky, creating a breathtaking display that transformed the very sky into an ominous tapestry.

Marugori, seemingly unfazed by the fiery spectacle, shot a defiant glare towards Kai. "You think mere fire can harm the strongest body in the universe?

Kai's response was simple and confident. "We'll see."

Marugori snorted, preparing himself to withstand the onslaught of flames. At Kai's command, the descending flame lances homed in on Marugori like divine retribution.

The giant attempted to swat the lances away, but to his surprise, they abruptly accelerated with a sonic boom.

The red-hot beams impaled Marugori's form, their searing intensity scorching his flesh and boring clean holes through his body.

Even his massive bones proved no match for the concentrated flames, which seemed to possess the solidity of a tangible object.

"Aaaaargh!"

Marugori's agonized cry echoed across the battlefield as he flailed in a desperate attempt to defend himself. Curiously, no blood leaked from his burned wounds, and yet the onslaught continued.

Wave after wave of flame lances pierced through him, reducing his formidable body to nothingness within seconds.

The destruction was swift and all-encompassing, until not a trace of Marugori remained.

Saitama observed the brutal scene unfolding before him, his brow raised in intrigue and a glimmer of interest dancing in his eyes.

"He's strong. Could he finally bring me the thrill of an actual battle?" Saitama mused aloud.

Kai's response came, devoid of any enthusiasm. "No, I won't. Go fight someone else." His tone was curt, laced with a touch of irritation. "Fuck you."

Though the prospect of testing his limits against Saitama was tantalizing, Kai recognized the futility of such a battle.

Fighting Saitama would inevitably lead to catastrophic consequences, given the bald hero's uncanny ability to continuously surpass any opponent he encountered.

It was as if Saitama existed in a realm of absurdity, akin to an exaggerated version of Goku from another universe.

As Kai disappeared, another figure arrived at the precise spot he had occupied just moments before. Saitama, lacking the ability to fly but possessing extraordinary jumping prowess, had managed to catch up to Kai.

However, to his bewilderment, Kai had vanished in an almost mysterious manner, leaving Saitama scratching his bald head in perplexity.

"How the heck did he run away so fast?" Saitama muttered to himself, casting an appraising look around the area.

Despite his search, there was no sign of any living soul, and eventually, Saitama's pursuit came to a fruitless end.

With a shrug, he decided to head home. "Guess I'll just grab some groceries instead. Maybe next time, there'll be a real fight."

And with that, Saitama walked away, the thrill of adventure still twinkling in his eyes, while the remnants of Marugori's rampage lay behind him.

"At least I've got my groceries to look forward to!"
