Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

I decided: One Punch Man was next.

The thought of stepping into that world got my blood pumping. It felt like getting ready to dive into a new chapter, full of unknowns but with the kind of excitement you feel before something big.

It was the kind of world where the absurd mixed with the powerful, and I was curious to see how it all fit together.

Before I jumped in, I focused on what I'd need.

I didn't want to stand out too much, so I pictured a simple outfit: a shirt and pants that were comfortable, practical for moving around, and gave off a quiet sense of confidence.

Nothing flashy, just what worked.

Then, I turned to Albedo and Scathach, my two trusted companions. They'd been with me through so much, and I couldn't just take off without making sure everything was in good hands.

"I'm heading into One Punch Man," I said, looking at them both seriously. "You two are in charge here while I'm gone. Keep things in order, protect the realm. If I need you, I'll reach out."

Albedo gave a small nod. "Understood, Master. We'll make sure everything stays secure here." Her voice was calm, but her loyalty was clear.

Scathach smiled slightly, her tone steady. "Don't worry, Kai. We'll handle things. You just focus on what's ahead." There was a quiet strength in her words, like she was more than capable of handling whatever came up.

I returned their looks with a nod of my own. I trusted them, and that made this easier.

"Just remember, our connection is stronger than distance or time. No matter where I go, I'll always be part of this. Take care of each other."

Albedo raised an eyebrow, almost smirking. "We'll be fine. Go do your thing. We've got this."

Scathach gave me a small but reassuring nod. "You're not alone out there, Kai. You never will be."

I didn't need anything more from them. They knew what I meant. It was time for me to step into a new world. I gave them one last look, then turned to the portal that had opened before me.

The energy from it swirled, almost pulling me in. This was it. The new world, the new challenge.

"Here we go," I said under my breath and walked straight toward it.

As soon as I stepped through, everything around me changed. The world felt different—like I was in a place that thrived on chaos, where the usual rules didn't apply.

The air was thick with energy, and even though everything looked normal, something about it felt... off. In a good way, though.

This place had the kind of feel you get when you know something exciting is about to happen.

I looked around. It wasn't like anything I'd experienced before. But that was the point. I'd come here for a reason, and I was ready for whatever this world had to throw at me.

This was One Punch Man. Heroes, villains, and all the strange nonsense in between. Time to see how I fit in.

I found myself in the middle of City A, a massive city that seemed to be holding its breath. It was bustling, full of life, and yet, I could feel the tension in the air—the constant threat of monsters and villains that could tear it all apart at any moment.

I stood there for a second, taking it all in, before everything suddenly went to hell.

The ground shook, and a massive explosion rocked the city. Buildings cracked and crumbled as the shockwave rippled through the streets.

People screamed in panic, rushing to find cover as chaos spread like wildfire.

My eyes locked onto the source of the destruction—Vaccine Man. A monster of monstrous proportions, standing right in the middle of the wreckage.

His purple, grotesque form crackled with dark energy, and his presence was nothing short of terrifying.

Without hesitation, Vaccine Man started launching blue orbs of energy at anything in his path. The blasts exploded upon contact, tearing through buildings, cars, and anything unlucky enough to be caught in the blast.

Each explosion seemed to tear the city apart piece by piece.

Heroes showed up, but it didn't take long before they were getting knocked out one by one. Vaccine Man's power was on another level, and the city was descending into chaos.

The disaster level was rising fast—Dragon level, which was serious.

Most of the time, only the strongest monsters could reach that kind of destruction.

And then, just as things were getting worse, a figure appeared in the distance. A man in a yellow jumpsuit and a white cape. Saitama. The One Punch Man.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I watched him stroll onto the scene, looking completely unbothered.

He gave the monster a lazy look, as if he was more annoyed by the interruption than anything else.

Saitama cracked a smile. "Who are you?"

Vaccine Man, furious at the interruption, sneered. "Who the hell are you?"

Saitama didn't seem to care, keeping his usual bored expression. "Someone who's a hero for fun."

I raised an eyebrow. This guy was different. But it didn't matter. This was my scene now.

I stepped forward into the fray, and both Saitama and Vaccine Man immediately noticed me. Vaccine Man's rage turned toward me, and I could feel the heat of his anger even from a distance.

"How dare you interrupt me?" he roared.

I didn't flinch. Instead, I gave him a calm look. "Strength isn't about chaos, it's about having a purpose. Something you clearly don't understand."

Saitama barely reacted. He was just watching, his arms crossed, but I could see a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

Ignoring Vaccine Man's threats, I focused on the battle. I didn't care for his words, but I knew this was a test of strength. I was in this world for a reason, and I wasn't just a spectator. I could handle this.

Vaccine Man, now seething with rage, shot another barrage of energy orbs toward me. The explosions that followed were massive.

The entire area was consumed by thick smoke, making it hard to see anything.

When the dust settled, I stood unharmed. Saitama hadn't moved an inch. He was still watching, like this was just another part of his day.

Vaccine Man didn't waste any time. His body twisted and morphed, growing to an enormous size, covered in spikes.

He must've been thinking this transformation would intimidate us, but all it did was make him look even more ridiculous.

"The will of the Earth gave birth to me!" he bellowed, his voice shaking with rage.

I sighed, feeling kind of bored already. It was time to end this.

I turned to Saitama, who gave me an almost amused glance. His face was neutral, but I could see the fire of excitement behind those eyes.

He wasn't here to just watch; he was here for something interesting, just like me.

I didn't waste any more time. I moved faster than Vaccine Man could react.

I appeared behind him in the blink of an eye and, without hesitation, I threw a punch into his massive back.

The impact was like a shockwave. My fist drove through his body, tearing it apart. His spine snapped, and chunks of his body went flying. His head rolled off like it was nothing.

I looked back at Saitama, who hadn't even flinched. His expression hadn't changed—he was still as indifferent as ever.

But there was something different now, a slight spark in his eyes. Maybe a little more interest.

Vaccine Man's body collapsed to the ground, twitching as it crumbled into a pile of meat and bones. The damage he'd caused to the city was still there, though.

The buildings were wrecked, people were hurt, and the chaos was far from over.

Saitama, ever the hero, turned his attention to saving the survivors. He didn't need to say anything to me—he just got to work.

I shrugged and turned to leave, casually stepping over the wreckage. "Yo, Saitama," I called out, just loud enough for him to hear.

He looked up, blinking. "Yeah?"

I grinned. "I'm Kai. We'll meet again."

With that, I pushed off the ground, leaping into the sky. The wind kicked up behind me, and I vanished from sight.

Saitama just watched me go, his expression unreadable. After a moment, he went back to what he was doing—helping the survivors, putting the city back together. For him, it was all in a day's work.

As for me? I had a feeling this was just the beginning.
