'System, can I solidify a piece of my shadow in a place using shadow manipulation so that I can jump back to it?' Just before teleporting, Aiden has asked this question from the system.
< Yes host, as long as the detached shadow stays within the range of the shadow manipulation skill, everything is good. > The system's reply had made a good strategy appear in Aiden's mind.
He had placed a centimeter of his shadow within a ten-meter radius of himself before he had teleported behind the orc.
But unfortunately, he had forgotten to close his nose because of this.
'Argh!!! What the fuck is that smell?!' Aiden cursed mentally as he felt as though he would faint.
After all, the smell was exactly like how the system had told him it would be. He could even feel a tear or two trickling down his cheek.
"You should take a fucking bath!" He shouted at the orc as he tightly grabbed the dagger in his hand and stabbed the orc's right leg.
But much to his shock, the dagger broke down.
'Her vitality is too high.' Aiden thought at the last moment as the orc raised her right leg ad kicked it backwards.
Fortunately, Aiden had already teleported to the one centimeter of shadow he had left behind.
'System, please tell that there is a way to defeat this hulk of a creature.' Aiden asked the system as the orc suddenly started stomping her feet on the ground.
It was as though she was trying to break the floor and throw the pieces at Aiden as though they were baseballs.
< You should call it dodgeball with concrete though I don't think the ground is made from concrete. As for how you can defeat her host, you should have to last longer. The effects of her skill should run out in seven minutes. Just last until then host. > The system replied as Aiden sighed and looked at the orc.
'That should be easy.' Aiden thought as he moved towards the right and dropped another piece of his shadow down.
And just like that, he dropped many small one-centimeter pieces of his shadow in a circle.
The orc had been examining him carefully while he had been doing it but now that he was done, she suddenly grumbled something.
< You are an utterly cute demon. Would you like to become my mate? I really didn't want to translate that host... > The system said as Aiden felt like puking.
"I am not even legal, you brain dead full of muscles rancid smelling green orc-granny!" Aiden replied back, as both the system and Aiden's parents who were watching him, were left stunned.
< Where did you learn such an advanced level of name-calling host? > The system asked in an awed voice as Aiden mentally shrugged again.
'It came from my imagination system.' Aiden replied as he waited to see the orc's reaction.
< You have a weird imagination host. > The system replied as the orc didn't react for two entire minutes.
'Did she die because of my name calling?' Aiden wondered but his theory was suddenly proved wrong by the orc as cracked her fists.
< Come here little demon, let me teach you a lesson about how you talk to your elders. > The system translated what the orc said as Aiden smiled.
"Let's see if you can even touch me." He said as the orc charged forward and punched her fist in Aiden's direction.
But her fist only hit air since Aiden had already teleported to another one of his shadows.
[ Elemental Energy: 278 / 300 ]
'So it's a battle of endurance. Either I dodge all her blows and wait till her skill runs out before killing her or my elemental energy runs out before that and I get hit and die in her place.' Aiden thought as the orc grumbled in frustration before turning around and charging towards Aiden.
He moved away again but this time, the orc changed directions and immediately moved towards him which made his eyes widen and he had to teleport again.
[ Elemental Energy: 268 / 300 ]
But it didn't stop there as the orc rapidly chased him and made him teleport from one place to another quickly.
One teleportation. Two teleportations. Five teleportations. Ten teleportations.
[ Elemental Energy: 226 / 300 ]
'Even if I manage to survive, I won't have a weapon to kill her until my elemental energy recovers but that would also mean that she could recover too. This match will never end this way.' Aiden thought while gritting his teeth as an idea suddenly came to his mind.
'System, I can create anything using my shadow creation skill right?' Aiden asked the system while teleporting again as he stared at the orc's shadow.
< Yes host, you can create anything using the skill. What are you going to create with it? > The system asked as Aiden suddenly smiled.
'I will create something that will make sure that orc won't move again.' Aiden replied as he raised his right hand in the orc's direction.
'Shadow creation.'
Chains made from shadows suddenly started to appear around the orc's legs as Aiden used his shadow manipulation to control them.
He made the shadows move up the orc's legs and made them stick to the ground as the orc suddenly couldn't walk.
'I will call this skill shadow bind.' Aiden thought silently as he moved a little forward in a carefree manner.
"Now I only have to wait." Aiden said out loud as time ticked by.
The orc tried extremely hard to break the chains but no matter what she did, the chains didn't budge.
The reason for this was that Aiden had reinforced the chains twice meaning that he had combined two chains into one.
And because of this, the effect of the orc's skill suddenly ended. Her muscles inflated down and her skin stuck to her bones tightly.
She turned from a female hulk to a haughty-looking corpse.
< Please I beg of you, don't kill me. That's what she is repeating host. > The system told Aiden as his eyes turned emotionless.
"Moments ago, you were ready to tear me to shreds. But now that you are about to die, you are begging me to not kill you. You are a hypocrite you know." Aiden replied as glanced at his shadow and created a sword from it.
He knew how cruel and unfair the world really was. Those who were at the top of the food chain only showed off their power.
But if they ever faced another powerful person in front of them and found out that they couldn't defeat them, they would just decide to beg for forgiveness or lick their ass.
But to Aiden, such things didn't exist.
He then raised the sword to the orc's neck as her expression turned extremely terrified. But before she could say anything, Aiden brought the sword down in a horizontal slash.
And her head hit the ground with a thud.
