Chapter 31 - Chapter 26 edited.

After opening up to the rest of the Rangers, she needed some alone time. She climbed through her bedroom window and just let her mind wander. An hour later, she was sound asleep. She woke up to the sensation of water dripping on her face. Rain? A leak? What could it—? That woman was floating above her. Rita Repulsa. A soft green glow surrounded her and her staff. She was beautiful and evil and terrifying all at once.

"Do you know who I am?" she was playing with Trini face and asked quietly.

"Rita . . . Repulsa," Trini replied in a trembling voice.

Rita whispered"I was once just like you. So pretty. Innocent. Are all the rangers on Zordon's new team as young as you?"

But as Trini's anger flared, she reached out to grab Rita, only to find herself spun around and pinned to the ceiling with unearthly strength.

As Rita collided with the ceiling, the fragile surface gave way, splintering and cracking under the immense pressure, but Rita was unfazed.

"Delightful," Rita purred, her voice dripping with malice as she effortlessly pushed Trini down onto the bed, her movements taunting. "Have you morphed yet?" she sneered, her gaze piercing into Trini's soul.

Trini's heart raced with a mixture of fear and defiance, but Rita effortlessly slammed her against the wall, the force cracking the already weakened structure. Groaning in pain, Trini fought to conceal her terror, refusing to show any sign of weakness.

But Rita's next words sent a chill down Trini's spine, her voice oozing with venomous delight. "That was a trick question," she hissed, her breath hot against Trini's ear. "I k*lled the Yellow Ranger... before. And I loved it!"

With a mocking taunt, Rita teased, "You want your armor! I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Trini watched in horror as Rita's corrupted armor began to emerge, a grotesque form.

Driven by a surge of desperation, Trini seized Rita and pushed her into the opposite wall, her hands tightening around her throat in a desperate attempt to gain the upper hand. But Rita's laughter echoed in the air, her struggles nothing more than a facade.

"Please no, you're hurting me! You're so strong!" Rita mocked, her voice laced with deceit. "Just kidding."

Breaking free from Trini's grip, Rita pinned her against the wall once more, her gaze locking onto Trini's with an unsettling intensity. "You have spunk, little Yellow," she whispered, her words sending a shiver down Trini's spine. "I see myself in you. And in your heart, you know it. Come with me. We can be friends."

Trini's breath caught in her throat as Rita's words washed over her, her mind reeling from the realization of the danger she faced.

"All I need to know is... where is the Zeo Crystal?" Rita demanded, her voice a menacing whisper

"I don't know," Trini admitted, her voice wavering but resolute in its honesty.

Rita's gaze bore into her with unsettling intensity as she considered Trini's words. "Sadly, I believe you," she conceded, her tone laced with disappointment. "Tomorrow, I am going to destroy Angel Grove. But in exchange for your life... you will find out where the Crystal is and you will come to me. We can have a deal, Dede my friend."

With a casual flick of her wrist, Rita effortlessly cast Trini aside, sending her crashing into shelves lining the walls with bone-jarring force. Trini's body throbbed with pain as she lay amidst the wreckage, defeated and broken.

Bruised and battered, Trini could feel the weight of Rita's ultimatum bearing down on her.

As Alex and Kimberly rushed to Trini's home, their hearts pounding with concern, they found her waiting for them outside, battered and bruised from her encounter with Rita.

Kimberly's eyes widened in shock as she took in Trini's injuries, her heart sinking at the sight of her friend's pain.

Trini gestured for them to be silent as she led them inside, her movements cautious and deliberate as she guided them to her room. As they entered, Kimberly and Alex were greeted by the chaotic aftermath of the fight, the room bearing the scars of their recent struggle.

Trini's room was in disarray, furniture overturned and belongings scattered haphazardly across the floor. The air was heavy with the lingering scent of battle, a stark reminder of the violence that had unfolded within its walls.

"My mom is going to kill me," Trini muttered, her voice tinged with resignation as she surveyed the wreckage around them. Despite the seriousness of their situation, a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips, a brief moment of levity amidst the chaos.Kimberly's eyes widened in shock as she took in Trini's injuries, her heart sinking at the sight of her friend's pain.

Kimberly's eyes fell upon a medical kit tucked away in the corner of the room, and without hesitation, she swiftly grabbed it, her movements purposeful and efficient. As she approached Trini, her expression softened with concern, her focus solely on alleviating her friend's pain.

Trini winced as Kimberly began to disinfect and patch up her wounds, the sting of the antiseptic causing her to recoil slightly. But despite the discomfort, she remained still, trusting in Kimberly's expertise to ease her suffering.

"What happened?" Kimberly questioned, her voice trembling with worry.

Trini winced as Kimberly tended to her injuries, her gaze haunted by the memory of her recent ordeal. "Rita," she replied with a heavy sigh. "She came to my house."

Kimberly's breath caught in her throat, her mind reeling at the thought of Rita's arrival "What?" she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Trini nodded grimly, her expression darkening with each passing moment. "Yeah," she confirmed. "She's real... insane. She nearly killed me. She was trying to get me to join her. She said she'd spare my life if I could keep a secret."

The weight of Trini's words hung heavy in the air as Alex's brow furrowed with concern. "What secret?" he questioned, his voice edged with urgency.

Trini winced as she recalled the chilling words of their adversary. "At dawn, the destruction of Angel Grove begins," she revealed, her voice laced with dread.

Alex sighed, the gravity of their situation sinking in. "So it begins," he murmured, his gaze flickering with determination.

Kimberly turned to Alex, her eyes searching his for guidance. "What should we do?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

With a solemn nod, Alex met Kimberly's gaze, his mind already racing with plans for their next move. "We need to get Billy, Zack, and Jason first," he decided, his tone firm and resolute.

Turning to Trini, he fixed her with a determined stare. "Give me a detailed description of what she said and her behavior," he instructed, his voice a beacon of calm amidst the chaos of their reality.

And as Trini began to recount the harrowing details of her encounter with Rita, Alex listened intently, his mind already formulating a strategy.
