Chapter 1 - Origin

Life sprouted as fast as lightning, origins of life has been a debate of every existence, through years of arguments especially on the sect of religions and science it is still unknown where life sprouted and blossomed.

Sebastian's POV:

I, Sebastian Mordred a normal human being who lived 26 years of completely uneventful life has been struck by the words "Origin" it was not completely new to me, it will pass by my mind and will attempt to question my existence as I mostly do not believe in something that I have not proven myself. [What is the point of life? How did I became a person? Why am I alive?] Those words pass through my mind every once in a while just to mess up my thoughts and completely forget them the moment i get busy, it was just like how a wind pass by normally.

After sorting out my thoughts, I have come to my senses and found myself staring at the vast black sky while sitting at the balcony of my room, I am currently in a hotel. The hotel was high, boasting a length of 92 floors, and I have been designated at a room in the 74th floor.

While gazing intently at the big black sky, my thought once again recalled the arguments of the life's origins [What truly is at the middle of life and death?] those unneeded thoughts once again entered my mind, My gaze shifted from the sky to the bottom of the hotel and thought of the things that is considered foolish, [Will I know the Secrets of the World if I jump from here?] I thought to myself. "Hahaha, I must be frustrated to try and commit suicide" those are the words that came out of my mouth while I started walking back to my bedroom.

I was walking back to my bed when my heart started to pound harder, my mind has still been curious of what will happen when I jump from this height, my curiosity have overlapped my ability to think rationally. Until....

My mind has snapped and was completely been conquered by a mere curiosity about life and death. I did not think about the consequences anymore, all I have thought is that I have to know in order to be satisfied.

I ran towards the balcony and jumped from the 74th floor of the building, however, I did not feel fear, except I felt amused and mesmerized by the scenery that captivated my mind

I still had not experienced in skydiving, so I did not have an idea on how free- falling would felt. [Why did I not try this sooner?] my mind had this thought while falling. As much as I hated the fact that I haven't done this with a parachute in my life, I did not regret doing it as I literally have done a once in a lifetime experience.

As I felt the ground getting closer, I felt the disdain in my heart had completely vanished, [Am I feeling fear?] I asked to myself, however it was already too late. I felt the wind swallowing my whole body as it will collide with the ground sooner or lat-

Sebastian's body has fallen from the 74th floor of the hotel. With a seemingly weird posture, a lady who passed by and have witnessed the scene of a man falling from a high building, she stepped back and fell on the ground as she let out a shriek "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh", the shriek of the lady have caught the attention of people in the area as they have witnessed an incident unfold between their eyes.

Sebastian's POV:

I have reached the ground, I felt pain for a short amount of time, my consciousness have started to fade, my senses have been dulled, though faintly I have heard a shriek, it's getting much darker, much much darker. I see so this is how it felt to have died.

A sudden flash has struck me and as I have opened my eyes.

"Hmmmm? What the hell is this?" as I have muttered those words I have questioned these sequence of events. I have found myself in a foreign land where we people might regard as heaven or maybe it was hell. Despite being here The emotions I thought I will have has been deemed unnecessary. I did not feel a thing it was all completely plain, the whole place is peaceful yet chaotic, a rotten yet fragrant smell roaming around the area, a noise that could be called silence. I did not feel anything, my senses have completely been deemed unnecessary.

As I stare into nothingness, a sudden being had approached me. It was wearing a black and white robe completely covering its whole body, it wore a dark red mask where 3 colors intertwined, despite walking towards me I cannot refer it as a human being as it has wings and a crown, I have thought of its gender as a male as it produces voice with a little bit husky tone, however, the moment it spoke I was completely caught off guard with its appearance it is completely the opposite of a male as it has a woman's figure, a pale white skin, a long jet black hair, an ocean blue eyes, a firm lips and rossy cheeks, it is not an exaggeration to call it the most beautiful face that you will ever met.

"Who are you? Are you perhaps a man or a woman?" I asked. "I am nothing but an emissary figure, I do not have a gender as I take form depending on the person's preference around the word "beauty"." it's reply. "I see, Then.....are you God?" I asked while thinking that science is wrong and religions are near the correct answer, "No, I am an overseer of the worlds, I reign as a being that consents life." Its reply, "Doesn't that define a God?" I said, "Hmmmm, well I am just an overseer there are 3 more beings higher than myself" He smiled upon answering.

"Then are you here to passed down my verdict?" I asked. "No, I am here to conduct your reincarnation or ascension" Its answer, "I will now give you two options, First is Reincarnation, Reincarnation grants you the ability to live once more in a random world, your class, species, and life expectancy is all chosen based luck. the second option is Ascension, ascension grants you temporary immortality however you will be secluded and be as one with this world until you can have a life of your choice. In short your soul will be cleansed and when the cleansing is done you can choose what sort of life you will live the moment you regained your purity." it added.

"I see, then If I chose Reincarnation it will be solely dependant of my luck?" I asked, "Yes, you may either become a creature with the ability to think or an mindless insect" It replied.

I was fascinated by the second option as it has the privilege to choose, however I thought to myself that I will be completely bored for an eternity of God knows how long will it take to have that privilege.

So I chose reincarnation instead, at this point I have steeled my mind and will accept what will happen in my next life, heck I might be a protagonist of an impending adventure like isekai animes it was a carefree way of thinking yet I somehow deep inside myself have wanted to become one of those people whom I have read and watched in the past" I chose Reincarnation" I said to while completely immersed in thinking in the possibilities that will unfold in the few seconds after I have spouted these words.

" A choice have been made" Just like a judge in a trial his tone was serious and a bit frightening. "You, Sebastian Mordred of the planet 3717 have chosen reincarnation and will descend upon a foreign land, By the power bestowed upon myself I will now declare your choice valid. Your memories will be removed from your consciousness and start anew, May lady luck be with you!" He added.

After his declaration he pulled a staff out of nowhere and started to waived it in a circular manner. The place where we are at have started to become distorted, my appearance is slowly starting to fade along with the this vast plain world. The staff emitted a bright light that causes that the world to vanish along with my memories of the events that occured over the past 26 years of life. I was glad that I have found the secrets of life yet I was also frustrated that I will once again forget, the reason I died in the first place is to know the reason behind life. However, I did not regret the decisions I made because my curiosity has been answered and proved by myself.

The only worry I have right now is that I might end up living my life as a bug, well let us just leave it at luck as that being said.
