The woman lying beside me releasing little snores through her nose would never fully comprehend the full extent to which I would go above and beyond for her. That night when I met her on that doorstep, I had been incomplete – unsure of where to go with sadness weighing itself upon me. But the second my nose took a whiff of her scent, the natural smell of her body that reminded me of a spring day with odd hints of fresh grass and roses, had quickly become addictive within the few seconds she had graced my presence. I had kept my head down in utter disbelief at the fact the moment my mother along with the conversations I overheard other wolves engage in had finally come.
